We are delighted to invite you to the presentation of the Aral School, taking place on:
📍 25 September 2025, 17:00 – IT Park, Nukus
📍 26 September 2025, 14:00 – Nationwide Children's Library, Tashkent

Led by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation (ACDF), the Aral School was officially announced at the Aral Culture Summit by curator and researcher Jan Boelen (LUMA Arles, Atelier LUMA). Conceived as a “laboratory for the future”, this new interdisciplinary educational initiative brings together participants from Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan and abroad to explore innovative approaches to cultural regeneration, ecological restoration and the sustainable development of the Aral Sea region.

The programme builds on the region’s unique biocultural context, connecting traditional knowledge with experimental design and research. Its pilot phase aims to develop tangible prototypes, international exhibitions, and a new educational model that responds to contemporary global challenges.

These presentations, aimed at recent graduates and young professionals of Uzbekistan, will be led by Programme Director Jan Boelen, joined by mentors Elena Kan, Sagitjan Aitjanov, and Azizbek Mannopov (TBC). Participants will learn more about the programme, launching in January 2026, and about the Open Call selection process.
