Oh I forgot to mention the plov. I do not eat much (in general), but the plov was one of the best I ate so far.

P.S. the place we got it is called “The Plov.” Just give it a try if you find yourself in Bukhara.

Early morning in Turkmenistan.

I put on my pretty skirt and top, feeling beautiful, chic, and gorgeous (yes, I am modest, I know 😂).

I was about to use the elevator when I met this guy, Arthur. We got in it together, and just then a woman was coming, so I held the door for her.

She said something to me in a different language, I looked at her and asked, “What language was that?” in English.

She instantly turned red and said, “I thought you were Japanese.”

We all burst out laughing.

Arthur looked at me sweetly and said, “You really do look Japanese.”

Ahhh, what a moment!

I was at my lowest and people still viewed me as a competion, that’s enough to keep me going.
