According to Bain & Company, India's AI sector is projected to require approximately 2.3 million workers by 2027, while the available AI talent pool is expected to grow by only 1.2 million. A similar talent gap is anticipated in China. This suggests that AI will likely generate more jobs than it displaces, necessitating efforts to bridge the significant demand-supply disparity in the talent pool.

Strategy for 2026
Critical minerals and rare earths are vitally important for a country's growth and development, as most nations are relying on them for EVs, electronic goods, mobile phones, computers, and defense equipment.
However, not all nations are blessed with these minerals; only a few are.
Though most nations understand the importance of supply chain management, it is necessary to create stockpiles of these minerals. Many nations, including the USA, EU, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, have already started programs for stockpiling.
This article also focuses on the stockpiling of critical minerals.
India should adopt a robust policy on stockpiling and also create a global alliance for stockpiling, perhaps through QUAD.
Furthermore, India should harness its mineral resources by boosting capabilities in mining, refining, and processing.
This article is important for GS 2 (International Relations), GS 1 (Distribution of Key Natural Resources), and GS 3.
