Arjuna's Penance at Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu.
One of the World’s largest structure of its kind, inscribed on 2 monolithic boulders.
This magnificent bas-relief carved in the 7th century, measuring to 43 ft height & 100 ft length.
The relief depicts a scene from the Mahabharata, where Arjuna is praying hard and performing penance to Bhagwan Shiva to ask him for his powerful & divine bow.

Mallikarjuna Temple is in Basaralu, a small town in the Mandya district, Karnataka .
The temple was built by Harihara Dhannayaka around 1234 A.D. during the rule of the Hoysala Empire King Vira Narasimha II.

This entire structure is made from one rock. The entire cliff was carved out and made into this magnificent architecture. Invaders ( you know who ) tried to destroy it and made efforts for 3 years with thousands of people, but their hammer and chisel we're not enough strong to erase the existence of the temple.
This is the grandeur of Vedic architecture, that even demons couldn't break it.
