UPCOMING Pub/History #Tour(s) for SEPTEMBER

TOUR 1: COVENT GARDEN
Date: 6th September
Meeting At: #Holborn Station
Time: 11 AM

TOUR 2: ROTHERHITHE
Date: 27th September
Meeting at: #Rotherhithe Station
Time: 11: 30 AM

We will be visiting some of #London's most famous and impressive pubs whilst venturing into various historical epochs. Britain's pubs were never just places to drink, but a much needed excuse to be among one another. And of course, during many fascinating times in history. The public houses we still walk past today played their parts in everything from law to war. Join us for a walk and a few refreshments as we delve into the living museums of #Britain.

The tours will last between 2-1/2 to 3 hours (usually more) and will end in a pub.

Prices: £20 per ticket (for over 18s),
16-18: £10
Under 16s: Free (If accompanied by a paying adult)

Thank you to those who've attended so far. I look forward to seeing you again and meeting new people. 🤝

"But the height of audacity in serving up pure nonsense, in stringing together senseless and extravagant mazes of words, such as had previously been known only in madhouses, was finally reached in Hegel, and became the instrument of the most barefaced general mystification that has ever taken place, with a result which will appear fabulous to posterity, and will remain as a monument to German stupidity."

- Arthur Schopenhauer, The World as Will and Idea, vol. 2 (1844)

Some scumbag next to me at the 'Pie and mash shop' counter just asked for gravy. I'm finding it hard to compose myself.

You will only know the difference between a house and a home on the few occasions that you actually come across one.
