Talking Pubs With Publican Pat From The Victoria - The Victoria, #Bermondsey, #London, #SE1

We have an in-depth discussion with Pat, an experienced landlord, a true south Londoner, and, most of all, an absolute gentleman. We discuss his beautiful pub and the good times it's had. We also delve into many subjects relating to the modern pub scene and how it contrasts with the past. This man has more stories and knowledge than most people with published autobiographies. I could listen to him all day, especially in relation to all he's seen within the rough yet united areas south of the river. We'd like to thank him deeply for giving us his time and for sharing his thoughts and feelings on the past and present. We'd also like to thank you all for following us, watching our content, and for sharing our work. It means the world to us. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿป

I am by no means a fan of the Krays, but I do find it amazing that many villains of the past still looked ten times smarter than the majority of office workers today.

I will never know of a sight with a higher abundance of cultural brilliance than that of Britain's lost and living pubs.

Suggs from 'Madness' discusses the first time he saw the 'Specials' in the "Hope and Anchor" pub (207 Upper St, Islington, London N1) which had hosted many famous bands such as U2, The Police, and The Stranglers. Pubs really have given us more than we could ever give them.

One of the many reasons that people are especially addicted to their phones is because, unlike our recent ancestors, you can no longer innocently enjoy English scenery in the knowledge that life is good when we all know bloody well that it isn't.
