My thoughts when someone invites me to Australia

Boleyn Castle was a stately home in #EastHam, #London, located on the eastern side of #GreenStreet, which historically divided West and East Ham. The area on each side of Green Street, in both West and East Ham, has become known as Upton Park, after the local tube station was introduced. This impressive estate was formed in the early 16th century and has rumours it housed Anne Boleyn (which would explain its name). Like many stately homes at that time, the house became dilapidated, with bomb damage possibly a factor, and as a result, it was demolished in 1955. Like many stately homes at that time, the house became dilapidated, with bomb damage possibly a factor and, as a result, (instead of being rebuilt) was ruthlessly demolished in 1955. The "Boleyn" name in East Ham (including the former Boleyn Ground/Upton Park and the Boleyn Tavern) is linked to Anne Boleyn via local legend, originating from the manor house (Green Street House) often called "Boleyn Castle". We just don't build them like we used to. #RIP

The Great Game, filmed in 1945, discusses football at a time when it was still in its infancy compared to what we know today. This documentary covers the polite, well-dressed, and stoic players and spectators who took part in the early days of publicised sports. It shows us how the game brought people together and gave them a much needed outlet in a world that was far more simple and quaint (despite being the year WW2 ended). Watching this video and observing the conduct of bygone players and audiences really highlights how far societal standards have fallen and how much we've lost. I wonder what they'd have to say about how the game, it's players, and its supporters behave today? β½οΈβ³οΈ

Any form of physical training that you will not do without a "training partner" to motivate you, I suggest you quit. Having someone to train with is a luxury, but if you need it as an excuse to take part, then you do not want it enough and probably never will.

This beautiful footage of a young Cornish man returning home to Polperro, Cornwall after working on ships during World War 2 in 1944 is the type of heart melting content that Hollywood have only ever been able to imitate. The more I watch, the more my heart, and brain overload with thought and feelings. β³οΈπ
