Evolution has given animals some crazy methods of defending themselves against predators. Here, behold, toad lizards spray blood from their eyes at predators in a targeted manner! They can purposely cut off the blood flow from their head by increasing their blood pressure. This causes the capillaries in their eyes to burst and blood to spray directly at their attacker.

Toad lizards only use this attack on animals of the canine and feline families, because they are particularly effective. Apart from shock, the blood of this lizard is also very unpleasant to the taste of big cats and jackals, while it has no effect on birds of prey. They defend themselves against them by special running with sharp manoeuvres and mimicking a rock.

Xylaria polymorpha is the most common mushroom found from Europe to North America.
Nothing special, except for one thing: no one but scientists use its official name.

Everyone calls this mushroom 'dead man's fingers'.

I can't stop being amazed by all the crazy new attractions in China.

For example, this one in the city of Chongqing is called the 'flying kiss'. Two huge statues really do come together in a kiss.

How do people get there, you might ask? The point is that the statues, after the "kiss", fold in a rather funny way and lie practically horizontally, bringing the platforms with the spectators literally to the ground.
