✞✞✞On this day is commemorated the Construction of the First Church in the Name of our Lady the Virgin Mary✞✞✞

✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞

✞✞✞The Feast of the Construction of the Church of the Virgin Mary✞✞✞
=>On this day was built the first church in the name of the Theotokos. If asked how that happened, it was as follows.

✞As per the commands of our God, Jesus Christ, to Whose name’s invocation be Lordship, that said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations” (Matt.28:19) the Apostles divided the world with lots to cultivate it with the Gospel.

✞And since salvation is attained when one receives the Holy Body and Blood [of Christ] (John 6:56), the Fathers, the Apostles, used to prepare the Eucharist in the houses of chosen faithful, would celebrate the liturgy, and offer from the mysteries.

✞This happened first in the Upper Room and next in the homes of different persons. And to pray, they sometimes used the synagogues of the Jews. But when time passed, the number of faithful who were gentiles increased drastically.

✞Especially, those whom St. Paul converted, insisting it was for prayer started entering back into the temples of idols. And when the teachers asked them, “How could you go to the temples of idols after you believed?” They answered, “What should we do?! We do not have a place to pray at.”

✞Then things eventually reached the Apostles Paul and Barnabas. And [when the news was heard] immediately some of the brethren said, “Why do not we build [ours].” But St. Paul responded saying, “Without the permission of the Arch-apostle, it will not be.” (And that is why today a church is not built unless an archbishop gives permission).

✞Then, the Saints, Paul and Barnabas, went to where the Apostles were and told the matter to St. Peter. And the Arch-apostle declared, “So that we know if it is the will of our Lord, let us all together enter into days of prayer and fasting.”

✞And all the faithful in the world entered into some days of fasting and prayer in one mind (heart). And at the end of their prayers and fasts, Our Savior Jesus Christ, may glory be to Him, descended in splendor to where they were.

✞And He took all the Apostles upon a cloud and placed them in Philippi. And He then instructed them, on a land outside of the city, saying, “Build a Church in My mother’s name.” And He gave three rocks to St. Peter.

✞And by placing those three rocks in the ground, the Apostle built an astounding church that had three partitions which was the first in 52 A.D on this day while the Lord stood and the other Apostles helped him.

✞As we are going to say that the Church was consecrated by the Lord tomorrow (on Senne 21/June 28), let us stop here.

✞✞✞May our God grant us the love of His Virgin Mother, the grace of His House (the Church) and the blessings of the blessed Apostles.

🌿ብፁዕ አባ አቡነ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ዘኤለ ገዳማተ እምኀበ እግዚኡ ይነሣእ እሴተ ቦአ ሀገረ ደብረ ሊባኖስ በፍሥሐ ወበሰላም።

⚜ሰአል ለነ ጊዮርጊስ ኀበ እግዚአብሔር ወጸሊ በእንቲአነ ሐረድዎ ወገመድዎ ወዘረዉ ሥጋሁ ከመ ሐመድ ወወሰድዎ ኀበ ሰብአ ነገሥት ረገጸ ምድረ አንሥአ ሙታነ አባ ጊዮርጊስ በሰላም ዐደወ መንግሥተ ክብር ወረሰ።

🌿ወልደ እግዚአብሔር አምላክነ ወመድኃኒነ ዕቀብ  ሕይወተነ እም ገሀነመ እሳት ወእምኵሉ መንሱት በእንተ ቅዱስ ስምከ ወበእንተ ማርያም እምከ ወበእንተ ቅዱስ መስቀል ወበእንተ ዮሐንስ ወንጌላዊ ወበእንተ ዮሐንስ መጥምቅከ ወበእንተ ኵሎሙ ቅዱሳን ወሀባ ሰላመ ለሀገሪትነ ኢትዮጵያ ወለቅድስት ቤተክርስቲያን።

❖✝🌹 ሰኔ 21 ቀን የሚከበሩ ዓመታዊ የቅዱሳን በዓላት✝🌹

=>ትናንት ለስም አጠራሩ ጌትነት ይሁንና ጌታችንና
መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ_ክርስቶስ ወደ ሐዋርያት ወረደ:: ፊልዽስዩስ በምትባል ሃገር በዼጥሮስ እጅ
የመጀመሪያዋን ቤተ_ክርስቲያን አነጸ ብለን ነበር:: በዚህች ዕለት ደግሞ አእላፍ
መላዕክትን: ሰማያውያን ቅዱሳንን እና እናቱን ቅድስት
ድንግል
ማርያምን ይዟት ወረደ::

+ሐዋርያቱ አብዛኞቹ እዛው ሲጸልዩ አድረው ነበርና ጌታችን
ከቅዳሴው በፊት 2 ነገሮችን አሳየ:-
1.አስቀድሞ ቤተ ክርስቲያኗን በድንግል እናቱ ስም አክብሮ
ሥርዓተ ቤተ ክርረስቲያንን አሳየ::
2.ቀጥሎ ደግሞ ሊቀ ሐዋርያት ቅዱስ_ዼጥሮስን ከመካከል አቁሞ "አርሳይሮስ" ሲል ሾመው:: ይኼውም የዓለም ሁሉ ሊቀ ዻዻሳት
(ፓትርያርክ) ማለት ነው:: በዚህ ጊዜ ቅዱሳን መላእክት
"አክዮስ" እያሉ 3 ጊዜ አሰምተው ጮሁ:: አክዮስ ማለት በግዕዙ
"ይደልዎ": በዐማርኛው ደግሞ "ይገባዋል: ያሥምርለት"
እንደ
ማለት ነው::

+ጌታችን ይሕን ከከወነ በኋላ ይቀድስ ዘንድ ጀመረ::
¤አማናዊት ማሕደሩን ድንግል ማርያምን መንበር አድርጎ:
¤ቅዱስ ዼጥሮስ እንደ ተራዳኢ ካህን ቆሞ:
¤ቅዱስ_እስጢፋኖስ ሠራኢ ዲያቆን ሆኖ:
¤ሐዋርያት ድንግልን ከበው:
¤መላእክተ ብርሃን በክብራቸው ቁመው ጌታችን ቀድሶ
ቅዱስ ሥጋውንና ክቡር ደሙን ለወዳጆቹ አቀበለ::

+በዚያች ዕለት በፍጡር አንደበት ተከናውኖ ሊነገር
የማይችል ደስታ ተደረገ:: ከቅዳሴ በኋላ ጌታችን
ሐዋርያትን
አዘዛቸው::
"ከዚህ ቀን ጀምሮ በመላው ዓለም በእናቴ በማርያም ስም
አብያተ ክርስቲያናትን እነጹ:: ይህችን ዕለት የሚያከብራትን
አከብረዋለሁ::" ብሏቸው ከድንግል እናቱ ከመላዕክቱ ጋር
ዐረገ::

=>ዳግመኛ በዚህ ቀን ሐዋርያው ቅዱስ ቶማስ
ይታሰባል::
ይኸውም ከሕንድ አውራጃዎች በአንዱ ወንጌልን ሰብኮ
እኩሎቹ ሲያምኑ እኩሎቹ እንቢ አሉ:: ቅዱስ ቶማስም
ያመኑትን
"ከጣዖት አምልኮና ከዝሙት ሸሹ" ብሎ መከራቸው::
+ምክሩን ከሰሙት አንዱ በዚያው ምሽት ሊጠጣ ወደ
መሸታ ቤት ይገባል:: ሰው ሁሉ ከወጣ በኋላ ባለ
መሸተኛዋ ሴት
እንደለመደችው አብረው እንዲተኙ ስትጠይቀው "እንዴት
ሐዋርያው ከዝሙት ሽሹ እያለ እንዲህ ትይኛለሽ?" በሚል
ሰይፍ
አውጥቶ አንገቷን ቆረጣት::

+እርሱ መልካም ያደረገ መስሎታል:: የሠራው ሥራ
(መግደሉ) ግን አሕዛባዊ ግብር ነው:: በማግስቱ ቅዱስ
ቶማስ ነገሩን
ሰምቶ ሰዎችን ሰበሰበና "ይህንን የአውሬ ድርጊት የፈጸመ
ማነው?" ሲል ጠየቀ:: ፈጻሚው ግን አልታወቅም በሚል
ዝም
አለ:: ወዲያው ቅዱሱ ሐዋርያ ዳቦ አንስቶ ቆረሰና
"ለበረከት እያነሳችሁ ውሰዱ" አለ:: ሰውየው ተራውን
ጠብቆ ሊያነሳ
ሲል እጁ ሰለለች::

+ሐዋርያው "ምነው ልጄ! ምን ሆንክ?" አለው:: እሱም
እንዳላመለጠ ሲያውቅ እውነቱን ተናዘዘ:: ቅዱስ ቶማስ
ግን ሕዝቡ
ሁሉ እንደተሰበሰበ ያን ወጣት ገስጾ "አስከሬኑን
አምጡልኝ" አለ:: የወጣቱን እጅ ፈውሶ "በል . . .
የገደልኩሽ
እኔ: የሚያስነሳሽ ግን ጌታየ_ኢየሱስ_ክርስቶስ ነው . . . ብለህ አንገቷን ቀጥለው" አለው::

+እንዳለው ቢያደርግ የሞተችው አፈፍ ብላ ተነሳች::
ይህንን ተአምር ያዩ አሕዛብ አምነው ተጠምቀዋል::

✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the Consecration of the First Church which was named after the Virgin Saint Mary✞✞✞

✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞

✞✞✞ The Consecration of the First Church which was named after the Virgin Saint Mary ✞✞✞
=>Yesterday, may glory be to His name, we said that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ had descended to where the Apostles were and built the first church by the hands of St. Peter at a place called Philippi. And on this day, he descended with a multitude of angels, the triumphant saints and His Holy Mother the Virgin St. Mary.

✞As most of the Apostles had spent the night praying in that place, our Lord showed 2 things before the liturgy.
1. First, he consecrated and named the church after the name of His Mother and showed the Church’s rites.
2. Then, He placed the chief of the Apostles, St. Peter, in the middle and ordained him as “Arsairos” which meant “The Archbishop (Patriarch) of All the World”. At that instant, the holy angels shouted trice “Axios”. And “axios” means "worthy of" and can also be “may it go well with him”.

✞And after our Lord did that, He started to celebrate the Divine Liturgy. And He offered from His Holy Body and Honorable Blood to His beloved,
*while He made the Virgin Mary, His true ark, an altar
*while St. Peter was the Assisting Priest
*while St. Stephen was the Deacon
*while the Apostles surrounded the Virgin
*and while the angels of light stood in their glory.

✞And on that day took place great joy which is indescribable by a mortal. After the liturgy, our Lord ordered His Apostles, “Starting from today onwards, build churches in the name of My Mother Mary all over the world. And I will honor the person who honors this day.” And then, He ascended with His Virgin Mother and angels.

=>Also on this day is commemorated the Apostle St. Thomas.  After St. Thomas preached the Gospel in one of the provinces of India, half of them believed and half did not. And St. Thomas counselled those who believed saying, “Flee from fornication and do not worship idols.”

✞And one of those who had heard the Apostle entered into a tavern the same night. And after all the people had left and when the hostess asked him to lay with her as usual, he said, “How could you say this to me after the Apostle stated, ‘flee from fornication’?” Then, he took out a sword and beheaded her.

✞And he thought that he did well. But what he actually did was an act of unbelievers. And the next day, when the Apostle heard the news, he gathered the people and asked, “Who did this beastly act?” However, the transgressor kept quiet thinking that he would not be identified. Then, straightaway the Holy Apostle took bread, broke it and said to the faithful, “Take as a blessing.” And when it was the man’s turn and he tried to pick, his hand was incapacitated.
 
✞Then, the Apostle inquired, “My son, what has happened to you?” And when the man knew he did not escape, he spoke the truth. And St. Thomas, while all the people were gathered, rebuked him and said, “Bring me the body.” Then, he healed the man’s hand, instructed and told him to say, “I am the one who killed you but it is My Lord Jesus Christ Who will raise you. And then he attached her severed head [to her body].”

✞Hence, when the man did as instructed, the dead woman rose speedily. And the gentiles who saw this miracle believed and were baptized.

✞✞✞ May God grant us from the blessing of the Apostle.
