=>ቅዱስ አልዓዛር በሃገረ ቢታንያ ከእህቶቹ ማርያና ማርታ ጋር ይኖር ነበር:: ሦስቱም ድንግልናቸውን ጠብቅው ጌታችንን ያገለግሉት ነበርና አልዓዛርን ከ72ቱ አርድእት ማርያና ማርታን ደግሞ ከ36ቱ ቅዱሳት አንስት ቆጥሯቸዋል::

+በወንጌል ጌታችን ይወዳቸው እንደ ነበር ተገልጧል:: ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ሲወድ የሚያበላልጥ ሆኖ አይደለም:: ይልቁኑ በምሥጢር እነርሱ ተወዳጅ የሚያደርጋቸውን ሥራ ይሠሩ እንደ ነበር ሲነግረን ነው እንጂ::

+ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ እንደ ነገረን ጌታችን በነ አልዓዛር ቤት በእንግድነት ይስተናገድ ነበር:: በመጨረሻዋ ምሴተ ሐሙስም ቅዱስ ሥጋውንና ክቡር ደሙን ለሐዋርያቱ ያቀበላቸው በእነዚህ ቅዱሳን ቤት ውስጥ ነው::

+ቅዱስ አልዓዛር በጽኑዕ ታሞ አርፏል:: ቅዱሳት እህቶቹ ማርያና ማርታ ከታላቅ ለቅሶ ጋር ዕለቱኑ ቀብረውታል:: (ዮሐ.11:1) ቸር ጌታችን ክርስቶስ ከ4 ቀናት በሁዋላ ሊያስነሳው ይመጣል::

+ለስም አጠራሩ ስግደት: ክብር: ጌትነት ይድረሰውና አምላካችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ አልዓዛር ባረፈ በአራተኛው ቀን ወደ ቢታንያ ደረሰ:: ማርታ ቀድማ ወጥታ ከእንባ ጋር ተቀበለችው:: "አዳም ወዴት ነህ" ያለ (ዘፍ. 3) የአዳም ፈጣሪ "አልዓዛርን ወዴት ቀበራችሁት" አለ:: ቸርነቱ: ባሕርዩ ያራራዋልና ማርያም ስታለቅስ ባያት ጊዜ አብሮ አለቀሰ::

+ከዚያም በባሕርይ ስልጣኑ "አልዓዛር አልዓዛር!" ብሎ አልዓዛርን አስነሳው:: ይሕች ተአምርም በአይሁድ ዘንድ ግርምት ሆነች:: ለጌታም የሞት ምክንያት አደረጉዋት:: ቅድስት ቤተ ክርስቲያን መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን መሠረት አድርጋ እንዲህ ታስተምራለች:: (ዮሐ. 11:1-ፍጻሜው)

+ቅዱስ አልዓዛር ጌታችን ካስነሳው በሁዋላ በበዓለ ሃምሳ መንፈስ ቅዱስን ተቀብሎ (ቁጥሩ ከ72ቱ አርድእት ነውና): ለ40 ዓመታት ወንጌልን አስተምሮ: በ74 ዓ/ም አካባቢ ቆዽሮስ ውስጥ አርፏል::

✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the Departure of Saint Lazarus, the beloved of the Lord✞✞✞

✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞

✞✞✞Saint Lazarus✞✞✞
=>St. Lazarus lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. And all three served the Lord and were virgins. The Lord counted Lazarus among the 72 Disciples and Mary including Martha with the 36 Holy Women.

✞It is written in the Gospel that our Lord loved them. This was not because our Lord loves one more than the other. Rather, it is telling us allegorically that they were found doing deeds which made them be loveable.

✞As the Holy Bible tells us the Lord used to be served as a guest in the house of Lazarus and his sisters. And it was in the house of these Saints that on Holy Thursday He gave from His Holy Body and Blood to the Apostles.

✞At one time, Lazarus became very ill and died. And his holy sisters with great sorrow buried him on the day he passed (John 11). And our Good Lord, to raise him, went [to them] 4 days later.

✞May prostration, glory and Lordship be to the invocation of His name, our Creator - Jesus Christ, reached Bethany on the fourth day after Lazarus had passed away. And Martha went out first and received Him with tears.

✞The Creator of Adam Who said “Where art thou Adam?” (Genesis 3) also said, “Where have you laid Lazarus?” And as His goodness and nature make Him compassionate, He wept with Mary when He saw her crying.

✞And by His authority (as He is God the Son) said, “Lazarus, Lazarus” and raised him. And this miracle became awe inspiring among the Jews. And it also made it a reason to crucify/kill the Lord. And the Holy Church basing the Holy Bible teaches us as such. (John 11:1-end of chapter)

✞St. Lazarus, after he was raised by our Lord and received the [gifts of the] Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (as he was one of the 72), preached the Gospel for 40 years and passed away in Cyprus in 74 A.D.

✞✞✞May the Goodness of our Lord and the blessing of Lazarus reach us.

🌿ብፁዕ አባ አቡነ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ዘኤለ ገዳማተ እምኀበ እግዚኡ ይነሣእ እሴተ ቦአ ሀገረ ደብረ ሊባኖስ በፍሥሐ ወበሰላም።

⚜ሰአል ለነ ጊዮርጊስ ኀበ እግዚአብሔር ወጸሊ በእንቲአነ ሐረድዎ ወገመድዎ ወዘረዉ ሥጋሁ ከመ ሐመድ ወወሰድዎ ኀበ ሰብአ ነገሥት ረገጸ ምድረ አንሥአ ሙታነ አባ ጊዮርጊስ በሰላም ዐደወ መንግሥተ ክብር ወረሰ።

=>ቅድስቷ እናታችን በነገድ እሥራኤላዊ ስትሆን የተወለደችው ኢየሩሳሌም ውስጥ በ5ኛው መቶ ክ/ዘመን አካባቢ ነው:: ወላጆቿ ክርስቲያኖች በመሆናቸው በሚገባው ፈሊጥ አሳድገው ወደ ትምሕርት አስገቧት::

+አስተማሪዋ ገዳማዊ መነኮስ ነበርና ከተማ ውስጥ አያድርም:: አስተምሯት ዕለቱኑ ወደ በዓቱ ይመለስ ነበር እንጂ:: ዓመተ ክርስቶስ ብሉይ ከሐዲስ ጠንቅቃ ተማረች::

+አንድ ቀን እንደ ልማዷ ልትማር ብትጠብቀውም መምሕሯ ሊመጣ አልቻለም:: ቅድስት ዓመተ ክርስቶስ መነኮሱን ልትጠይቅ : አንድም ልትማር ወደ በዓቱ ሔደች::

+በሩ ላይ ደርሳ ብታንኩዋኩዋም መልስም : የሚከፍትም አልነበረም:: ከውስጥ ግን ምርር ያለ የለቅሶ ድምጽ ተሰማት:: "ጌታ ሆይ! ይቅር በለኝ?" እያለ በተደጋጋሚ ይጮሃል:: ያ ደጉ መነኮስ ነበር::

+ቅድስት ዓመተ ክርስቶስ በቅጽበት አንድ ሐሳብ መጣላት:: "እርሱ በንጽሕና እየኖረ ስለ ነፍሱ እንዲሕ ከተማጸነ እኔማ እንደምን አይገባኝ!" ብላ ወደ ቤቷ ተመለሰች:: የለበሰችውን ልብስ አልቀየረችም:: ቤተሰቦቿን አልተሰናበተችም:: ከቤቷ አተር በዘንቢል እና ውሃ በትንሽ እቃ ይዛ ወደ ጐልጐታ ገሰገሰች::

+ከጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ መቃብር ላይ ወድቃ አለቀሰች:: ጸለየችም:- "ጌታ ሆይ! ነፍሴን ወደ ዕረፍት አድርሳት? ከክፉ ጠላትም ጠብቀኝ? ይሕንን አተርና ውሃ ለእድሜ ዘመን ሁሉ ባርክልኝ::"

+ይሕን ብላ እየፈጠነች ከኢየሩሳሌም ተነስታ በእግሯ ቃዴስን : ሲናይ በርሃን አቁዋርጣ ግብፅ ደረሰች:: ምርጫዋ ብሕትውና ሆኗልና ልምላሜ ከሌለበት : ፀሐዩ እንደ ረመጥ ከሚፋጅበት በርሃ ገባች::

+በዚያም ከያዘችው አተር ለቁመተ ሥጋ እየበላች : ከውሃውም በጥርኝ እየተጐነጨች : ማንንም ሰው ሳታይ : በፍጹም ተጋድሎ ለ38 ዓመታት ቆየች:: የቀኑ ሐሩር : የሌሊቱ ቁር (ብርድ) ልብሷን ቆራርጦ ቢጨርሰው እግዚአብሔር ፀጉሯን አሳድጐ አካሏን ሸፈነላት::

+ጊዜ ዕረፍቷ ሲደርስ የቅዱሳንን ዜና የሚጽፈው ታላቁ አባ ዳንኤል ወደ እርሷ ደረሰ:: እንዳያት ተከተላት:: እርሷ ግን በተሰነጠቀ አለት ውስጥ ገብታ ተደበቀች:: አባ ዳንኤል በውጪ ሆኖ ተማጸነ:- "እባክህ አባቴ! ውጣና ባርከኝ" አለ:: ሴት መሆኗን አላወቀም ነበርና:: እርሷ ግን "ራቁቴን ነኝና አልወጣም" አለችው::

+ልብሱን አውጥቶ ሰጥቷት ወጥታ ተጨዋወቱ:: በፈቃደ እግዚአብሔር ዜናዋን ሁሉ አወቀ:: ወደ በዓቷ ዘወር ሲል በዘንቢል የሞላ አተር ተመለከተ:: ለ38 ዓመታት ተበልቶ ዛሬም ሙሉ ነው:: አባ ዳንኤል ይፈትነው ዘንድ ከአተሩ በደንብ በላለት:: ከውሃውም ጠጣለት:: ግን ሊጐድል አልቻለም::

+እያደነቀ "እናቴ ሆይ! ልብሴን ውሰጂው" ቢላት "ሌላ አዲስ አምጣልኝ" አለችው:: ይዞላት በመጣ ቀን ግን ተሠውራለችና አላገኛትም::

+አንድ ቀን ግን (ማለትም ግንቦት 28) አረጋውያን መነኮሳት መጥተው የገጠማቸውን ነገር ነገሩት:: እንዲሕ ሲሉ:- "ሰው ተመልክተን ወደ በዓቱ ስንገባ አተር በዘንቢልና ውሃ በመንቀል አገኘን:: ስንበላው ወዲያው አለቀ::" አባ ዳንኤል ነገሩን ገና ሳይጨርሱለት አለቀሰ::

+አተሩ አለቀ ማለት ቅድስት ዓመተ ክርስቶስ አርፋለች ማለት ነውና:: አረጋውያኑ ግን ቀጠሉ:- "ከበዓቱ ስንወጣ በጸጉሯ አካሏ ተሸፍኖ ወደ ምሥራቅ ሰግዳ አርፋ አግኝተን ከሥጋዋም ተባርከን ቀበርናት" አሉ:: አባ ዳንኤል ዜናዋን ጽፎላት ዛሬ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ታከብራታለች::

=>አምላካችን በቅድስት ዓመተ ክርስቶስ ጸሎት ይማረን:: ከበረከቷም ያድለን::

✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the Departure of Saint Amette Christos (Christodoula)✞✞✞

✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞

✞✞✞Saint Amette Christos (Christodoula)✞✞✞
=>Our holy mother who was Israeli in lineage was born in Jerusalem around the 5th century. Because her parents were Christians they raised her properly and hired her a tutor (sent her to school).

✞And because her tutor was a monk, he did not spend the night in the city. He used to teach her and return to his cell on the same day. And so Amette Christos (Christodoula) learned well the Old and New Testaments.

✞One day, while she waited as always upon her instructor to learn, he did not come. So Amette Christos (Christodoula) went to the monk’s cell to visit (check on) him and also to learn.

✞And when she reached the cell and knocked at the door, no one answered or opened it. But from the inside she heard a bitter cry and a voice which said, “O my Lord! Forgive me!” It was the monk.

✞St. Amette Christos suddenly got of an idea. She thought, “If he, living in purity, beseeches for his soul like this, is not much more expected of me?!” and returned to her home. Then, she changed her cloth and without saying farewell to her folks went hurriedly to Mt. Golgotha carrying a basket of peas and water in a small vessel.

✞There, she fell down and wept upon the [empty] tomb of Our Lord Jesus Christ. She prayed saying, “O Lord! Let my soul find peace, preserve me from the wicked enemy and bless this basket of peas and water so it sustains me for my entire life.”

✞And after saying that starting from Jerusalem she crossed the Deserts of Kadesh and Sinai on foot and reached Egypt. And as she has chosen the life of a hermit, entered a desert where there was no vegetation and the sun scorched like fire.

✞There, she stayed for 38 years without being seen by anyone, eating from the peas she had to sustain her flesh and drinking a bit from the water. And when the scorching sun of the day and the cold air of the night slashed her cloth to pieces, God made her hair to grow and covered her whole body.

✞And when her time to depart came near, Abba Daniel who wrote the Chronicles of the Saints arrived at where she lived. And when he saw her, he followed her but she entered into a crevice of a rock and hid. And Abba Daniel begged from the outside saying, “Please my father come out and bless me!” He did not know that she was a woman. But she replied, “As I am naked, I will not come out.”

✞He then removed his cover and gave her. Then she came out and they discussed. And by the will of God, he knew all her account. And when he looked back at her cell, he saw a basket filled with peas. It was full even after being consumed for 38 years! To see what would happen, he ate plenty from the peas and drank from the water but both did not reduce in amount.

✞In astonishment he said, “My mother! Take my cloth.” But the Saint responded, “Bring me a new one.” And on the day, he brought it for her, as she was hidden, he was not able to find her.

✞But one day (meaning on Ginbot 28/June 5- today) elder monks came and told him what they encountered. They said, “We saw a person in the desert and when we followed her and entered her cell, there we found a basket of peas and water in a vessel. And when we ate it, it immediately got depleted.” And Abba Daniel started to cry without letting them finish.

✞Because [he knew] if the peas were done, it meant that St. Amette Christos (Christodoula) had passed away. But the elders continued, “And when we came out we found her body which was covered in hair, departed after kneeling towards the east. After we received blessing from her body, we buried her.” And Abba Daniel wrote her accounts and so the Church commemorates her today.
