💫 Automating for Growth: Guest Session with Zafar Khoshimov
📅 On August 12, 2025, participants at the Tashkent site of the English for IT Summer Camp had the opportunity to meet Zafar Khoshimov, CEO of Korzinka, during an inspiring guest session titled “Automating Business to Focus on Business.”
💡 Drawing from his experience leading one of Uzbekistan’s most successful retail chains, Mr. Khoshimov shared how strategic automation can free up time, improve efficiency, and allow businesses to focus on innovation and growth. Participants gained practical insights into how technology can drive both operational excellence and creative problem-solving in any industry.

From July 22–24, 2025, the U.S. Alumni Summer School brought together 30 active alumni from Khorezm and Karakalpakstan at the Antalya Grand Palace Hotel in Urgench. Organized in collaboration by the Regional Alumni Representatives of both regions, the event aimed to strengthen connections, share experiences, and inspire new initiatives among alumni of FLEX, Access, SUSI, Fulbright TEA, E-Teacher, JFDP, UGRAD, C5+One, and other U.S. government-funded exchange programs.
Over three days, participants followed three thematic tracks: Leadership & Community Engagement, Educational Excellence & Innovation, and Entrepreneurship & Start-Ups. The program began with welcome remarks, icebreaker activities, and an Alumni Sharing Circle, where participants reflected on their exchange experiences and connected with peers from other programs and regions. Sessions covered topics such as youth leadership, community engagement, innovative teaching strategies, academic publishing, pitching start-up ideas, building prototypes, and grant writing. Practical activities like “Design Thinking for Community Impact” and “Open Space Discussions” encouraged alumni to work together on solutions for real community challenges.
The Summer School ended with impact project presentations and a certificate ceremony, leaving participants motivated and better equipped to put their ideas into action. Trainers Feruza Masharipova, Gulsanem Allamberganova, Dilafruz Sarimsaqova, Jamshid Karimov, and Elbek Khodjaniyazov guided the sessions, helping alumni gain new skills and strengthen their network.

From July 28 to August 15, 2025, the English for IT Summer Camp brought together over 250 merit-based selected 9th–10th grade students from Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, and Nukus for an intensive 17-day journey of learning, creativity, and collaboration.
Funded by the U.S. Government and implemented by American Councils for International Education in partnership with IT Park University, the program aimed to strengthen English language proficiency, IT skills, and leadership capacity among Uzbekistan’s rising generation of tech-minded learners.
Throughout the camp, participants engaged in:
Through classes and guest speaker sessions, students also learned about global technology trends and explored U.S. opportunities for collaboration and education in the field of IT - inspiring them to think internationally and ambitiously.
The camp’s closing days were a celebration of achievement and innovation. Students presented the group projects they had developed - showcasing websites, applications, and creative tech-based solutions inspired by what they had learned during the program. Their presentations reflected not only improved communication and technical skills but also teamwork, problem-solving, and visionary thinking.
By the end of the program, students had expanded their global outlook, gained practical experience, and built lasting connections - preparing them to lead and innovate in the future of Uzbekistan’s tech sector.

🌟 #RARinAction in Jizzakh!
On July 28, the Jizzakh alumni community came together for a special event, “From Alumni to Author: Writing Day.” This creative 2-hour session gave alumni the chance to strengthen their storytelling skills, share personal experiences, and build a supportive community of writers.
The day began with introductions of new alumni, followed by an engaging presentation from Dildora Bakhriddinova, Jizzakh RAR, on How to Write a Compelling Story. Participants learned practical tips on structuring stories, using emotions and vivid details, and writing with authenticity.
Afterward, alumni took part in a hands-on writing session, choosing prompts, crafting personal stories, and even creating drawings to bring them to life. The session concluded with a “Magical Storytelling” activity, where alumni shared their experiences of challenges, achievements, and lessons learned.
✨ This event helped alumni enhance their writing and storytelling skills while also deepening bonds within the Jizzakh alumni community.
