⚠️ Warning: Graphic Content describing possible War Crimes during the ongoing crisis in Metekel Region of Ethiopia
— On last January 14, 2021, following the news of massacres targetting Civilians in Western Ethiopia, 🇪🇹 Amhara Nationalists (Important to say that Amharas are the 2nd Largest Ethinic group in Ethiopia and they are mostly ☦️ Orthodox Christians) started to share extremely graphic footages from the Massacres in Metekel region, accusing Insurgents from Oromo Liberation Army of start an ethnic cleansing against them & Ethiopia Prime Minister Abiy (who is ethnically Oromo) of leniency towards the massacres as Ethiopia falls into destabilization.

Such events they only reinforce the idea that has already been spoken here before of a possible Ethiopian-religious implosion that may eventually cause a regional (or even international) crisis of unimaginable proportions at the present moment

🇬🇧 Reuters | EU suspends Ethiopian budget support over Tigray crisis | 15-01-21
— "The European Union has suspended budget support for Ethiopia worth 88 million euros ($107 million) until humanitarian agencies are granted access to people in need of aid in the northern Tigray region.

In a blog post published on Friday, the EU’s top diplomat Josep Borrell said Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed now needed to live up to the Nobel Peace Prize he was awarded in 2019 by doing all it takes to end the conflict in Tigray.

“We are ready to help, but unless there is access for humanitarian aid operators, the EU cannot disburse the planned budget support to the Ethiopian government,” Borrell said.

Abiy’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

🇬🇧 The Telegraph | Churches and mosques in Tigray 'vandalised and looted' in Ethiopian purge | 17-01-21
— "Churches and mosques in Ethiopia are being attacked and their sacred treasures looted in a catastrophic conflict in the northern Tigray region that is causing destruction, loss of life and a surge of refugees to Sudan, according to international experts.

They are warning of historical vandalism and "cultural cleansing", fearing that religious sites have not been exempt from shelling and that a nation is being robbed of its ancient religious heritage, to the distress of Ethiopians of all faiths.

There are reports of Christian manuscripts being stolen from churches and monasteries, and burned - with some manuscripts as old as the 13th century - and of historic Muslim sites being damaged and looted. They include the building housing the tombs of 12 of Muhammad’s companions, beside the Al-Nejashi Mosque at Negash, north of Wuqro - the most important Muslim pilgrim site in East Africa."

There were no combatants in or around it. But it was shelled for 4-5 days nonstop, targeting civilians & property.

About 300 civilians were killed within those days. And a lot more after the Eritrean troops controlled it."

🇵🇰 Business Recorder | Ethiopia says no border talks until Sudan leaves contested land | 26-01-21
— "Ethiopia said Tuesday it would not engage in border talks with Sudan until Sudanese troops withdrew from contested land, potentially complicating efforts to defuse a dispute that has fuelled deadly clashes in recent weeks.

The two Horn of Africa nations have long been at odds over the Al-Fashaqa region, where Ethiopian farmers cultivate fertile land claimed by Sudan.

Since early December Sudan has accused Ethiopian "forces and militias" of ambushing Sudanese troops along the border, while Ethiopia has accused Sudan of killing "many civilians" in attacks involving "heavy machine guns"."

🇺🇸 AP News | US says Eritrean forces should leave Tigray immediately | 27-01-21
— " The United States says all soldiers from Eritrea should leave Ethiopia’s embattled Tigray region “immediately.”

A State Department spokesperson in an email to The Associated Press late Tuesday cited “credible reports of looting, sexual violence, assaults in refugee camps and other human rights abuses.”

“There is also evidence of Eritrean soldiers forcibly returning Eritrean refugees from Tigray to Eritrea,” the spokesperson said.

The statement reflects new pressure by the Biden administration on the government of Ethiopia, Africa’s second-most populous country with 114 million people and the anchor of the Horn of Africa, and other combatants as the deadly fighting in Tigray nears the three-month mark."

🌐🖥 Twitter | Disclosing networks of state-linked information operations | 23-02-21
— "Today we are disclosing four networks of accounts to our archive of state-linked information operations; the only archive of its kind in the industry. The networks we are disclosing relate to independent, state-affiliated information operations that we have attributed to Armenia, Russia and a previously disclosed network from Iran.

Once our investigations were complete, the 373 associated accounts across the four networks were permanently suspended from Twitter for violations of our platform manipulation policies. As with previous disclosures, we shared early access to the data we’re releasing today with the Stanford Internet Observatory for independent investigation and analysis."
