This Motherโ€™s Day, as we honour the beautiful, challenging, and grace-filled journey of motherhood, we are reminded that no matter where we are on this pathโ€”new, seasoned, grieving, or longingโ€”we are never alone.

In her first year as a mother, Joan found herself overwhelmed and uncertain, navigating sleepless nights and the steep learning curve of caring for a newborn. Yet, amid her exhaustion and silent prayers, she found comfort and strength in another motherโ€”our Blessed Mother Mary.

Through the Rosary and the joyful mysteries, Mary became a guiding presence. As St. Thรฉrรจse of Lisieux beautifully reminds us, โ€œ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ข ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ด๐˜ฐ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ฅ, ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ฅ, ๐˜– ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ ๐˜”๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜”๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜บ.โ€

Whatever your experience of motherhood may be today, take heart in knowing that in Mary, we always have a motherโ€”one who walks with us, prays for us, and draws us closer to her Son.

The first act of the new Pope, immediately after accepting his canonical election as Supreme Pontiff, is the choice of his name. It is a meaningful and important decision as it is our first indication of what he hopes his papacy will be like.

On this Good Shepherd Sunday, let us pray for Pope Leo XIV that he may lead with humility, compassion, and a deep care for his flock. May his mission be guided by the Holy Spirit and aligned with Godโ€™s will. ๐Ÿ™

A bishop, cardinal, and popeโ€™s coat of arms clearly communicate to us his identity and mission, and helps us understand the kind of vision that he aspires to bring to fruition. Here are the the 3 distinct components of Pope Leo XIVโ€™s coat of arms. In it, we see his Augustinian roots and the values that he seeks to promote during his papacy, especially that of unity and communion within the Church.

How can we partake in this vision that the Holy Father has for the Church, as guided by the Holy Spirit?

While Christmas celebrates the wonder of God becoming man, Easter that fulfils the promise. Jesus entered fully into our humanity, embracing not only our joys but also our suffering and death. Through His resurrection, He triumphed over sin and death, gaining for us eternal life.

Now, midway through the Easter season, itโ€™s easy to lose sight of the profound joy we celebrated just weeks ago. Let us remember this joy is not fleeting, but founded in Christ โ€“ in whom we have our salvation. Easter calls us to live anew in the joy, peace, and freedom that come from being God's beloved children.

May the joy of the Risen Christ renew our spirits, rekindle our hope, and anchor our identity in the love that conquered death. Alleluia!

For centuries, the Church has dedicated the month of May to Mary, not out of sentiment, but in reverence for who she truly is: our Mother and Queen.

Mary is more than just a comforting figure or a beautiful statue surrounded by flowers. She is the ๐Œ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐†๐จ๐, ๐๐ฎ๐ž๐ž๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ง, and our model of courageous, humble discipleship.

Her devotion wasnโ€™t soft or romanticised โ€” it was fierce, faithful, and filled with love. From the Annunciation to Calvary, Mary carried her cross quietly and deeply, just as her Son carried His. No bitterness. No blame. Just deep, surrendered love.

At the foot of the Cross, she didnโ€™t cry out for vengeance. Instead, she stood in silent agony, mirroring the labour of every mother, not just for one child, but for ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฎ๐ฌ. And in that moment, she became the Mother of all humanity.

This Easter, as we rejoice in Christโ€™s victory over sin and death, the Rosary invites us to walk that journey with Him, not in grand gestures, but through quiet, faithful prayer.

As Sister Lucia of Fatima shared, Our Lady couldโ€™ve taught us any prayer, but she chose the Rosary. Why? Because it reflects her own heart: hidden, humble, and full of love. This Easter, let us not overlook the Rosary as something โ€œtoo small.โ€ In its simplicity lies great power โ€” to bring peace, to transform hearts, to draw us closer to Jesus. Will you say yes and pray it with love, one day at a time?

When Jervis was 14, he struggled with doubts about his faith. A lover of science and reason, he found it hard to reconcile his logical mind with things he couldnโ€™t explain. With no clear answers, it seemed easier to push the questions aside โ€” until God met him unexpectedly during a prayer session at a catechism retreat. That encounter didnโ€™t erase all his doubts, but it became a turning point โ€” the first of many experiences that anchored his belief in something greater.

Years later, God spoke again โ€” this time through the intellect. Catholic podcasts and talks introduced Jervis to the Churchโ€™s rich intellectual tradition, where his questions found thoughtful, satisfying answers. He came to see that faith and reason were not enemies, but companions on the journey to truth.

Jervisโ€™ story is a reminder that God isnโ€™t afraid of our questions โ€” He meets us in them. Do not be afraid to seek, to ask, to wrestle. God is patient, and He longs to meet you.
