The theory of #Endosymbiosis
The theory of endosymbiosis proposes that certain organelles within eukaryotic cells, specifically mitochondria and chloroplasts, originated as free-living prokaryotic organisms. According to this theory, these prokaryotes were engulfed by ancestral eukaryotic cells through a process of phagocytosis. Instead of being digested, the engulfed prokaryotes formed a mutualistic relationship with their host cells, providing them with energy and other benefits. Over time, these engulfed organisms became integrated into the host cell's structure, evolving into organelles. Genetic evidence supports this theory, as mitochondria and chloroplasts contain their own DNA, which is similar to bacterial DNA. Additionally, they replicate independently of the host cell’s nucleus through a process resembling binary fission. The endosymbiotic theory helps explain the complexity of eukaryotic cells and highlights the evolutionary significance of symbiotic relationships.

🔸کهکشان‌های NGC 2207 و IC 2163 دو کهکشان مارپیچی در صورت فلکی سگ بزرگ هستند و در فاصله ۸۰ میلیون سال نوری از ما قرار دارند. این دو کهکشان درحال برخورد و ادغام با یکدیگرند، فرایندی که احتمالاً یک‌میلیارد سال طول می‌کشد.

🔸در هریک از این تصاویر، می‌توان تابش نور مرئی و فرابنفش کهکشان‌ها را در سمت چپ و تابش فروسرخ میانی را در سمت راست مشاهده کرد. در تصویر هابل (تصویر سمت چپ)، بازوهای پر از ستاره کهکشان‌ها به رنگ آبی می‌درخشد اما هسته هر دو کهکشان به رنگ نارنجی روشن دیده می‌شود.
🔸در تصویر وب که با ابزار MIRI گرفته شده، غبار سرد هر دو کهکشان به رنگ سفید می‌درخشد. در پایین این تصویر، نقطه‌ای درخشان با مشخصه ستاره‌مانند هشت‌پر دیده می‌شود که در حقیقت طرح پراش آینه‌های تلسکوپ وب است. طبق بیانیه تیم وب، این نقطه ناحیه‌ای است که در آن ستاره‌های زیادی شکل می‌گیرند.
