25-year-old female, primigravida on her early 3rd trimester pregnancy presented with progressive fatigue, exercise intolerance, shortness of breath and lower extremity swelling of 01 month duration.
- Physical Examination
Acutely sick-looking (ASL) and in respiratory distress (RDS). Has Holosytolic murmur on left lower sternal border
- Echocardiography
CRVHD with Sever Mitral Valve Stenosis (0.7cm² ) + Moderate Mitral Regurgitation
📌 Interventional procedure
Percutaneous Trans-Mitral Commissurotomy (PTMC)
📌Post procedure
- The patient is stable with no dyspnea or body swelling.
- Echocardiography after the procidure:- CRVHD with mild Mitral Valve stenosis (2cm²) & Mitral Valve regurgitation.
- Discharged after 01 day of hospital stay.
