There is no arguing the fact that children require protection and have to be taken care of, not least in their teenage years. To this end, in some parts of the United states, teenagers are placed under curfew whereby after a ceratin hour at night, they can only go outdoors if accompanied by an adult. Although restricting their freedom, this measure is essential, for people at these tender ages need to be monitored, particularly at night, and what better way to do so than to impose a curfew.
From a certain angle, this law appears to deprive young people of a normal teenaged life, rendering it an unwarrented limitation. As everyone will have noticed, most youngsters in this period have an insatiable curiosity and desire to engage in different activities, many of which occur at night. Perhaps the most relatable illustration is late-night parties, in which almost all teenagers are insterested. By enforcing such limiting laws , we are taking a lot of great and memorable experiences away from these young people. However, the question is, are these pursuits worth the attendant dangers? or would it not be more appropriate for them to experience these later in life when they have grown into young adults who can properly fend for themselves?
This imposed curfew, which on the surface might seem to be a superfluous restriction to some, can shield teenagers from a large number of potential threats and perils. Children in this period are most susceptible to abduction and many other crimes of this nature. These types of crime are more likely to be committed at night, and authorities, by introducing a curfew like this, can keep them safe and out of harms way. Apart from this, between thirteen and nineteen, individuals are highly suggestible which means they can be easily led astray. This potential vulnerability is the reason why most people turn to crime or drugs during teenage years, and once again the chances of this happening could be reduced simply by bringing in such a law.
All in all, a curfew does restrict teenagers' freedom to a certain extent, but in return it protects them agasint numerous problems and dangers which may seriously affect them for the rest of their lives. Therefore, this type of law is necessary and other countries ought to enforce it.

The given line graph provides data on the number of people who visited the UK as well as the figures for UK residents who visited a foreign country over a 20-year period from 1979 to 1999. The bar chart shows the countries visited by the latter group in the last year of the period.
On the whole, although the number of visits made by UK residents was almost as much as that of visits made to the UK in the beginning of the period, there was a significant difference at the end of the period. The former saw a five-fold increase, while the rise in the latter was far less significant. On a different note, France and Spain were the most visited countries by residents of the UK in 1999 with a yawning gap compared to other favored destinations.
The number pertaining to UK residents who went on an international trip saw a steady rise from around 12 million in 1979 to 20 million in 1985. over the next fifteen years, this number rose to approximately 55 million. The number of international guests to the UK also increased from almost 10 million in 1979 to just short of 30 million in 1999. The year 1985 was significant since it registered a visible break from the slow rise witnessed in its preceding years.
Almost 20% of UK residents who made an international trip in 1999 went to France (around 12 million people out of a total of 55 million). The portion for Spain was smaller but also significant (around 17% at 10 million). The three remaining popular destinations together accounted for about 15% of the number with 9 million UK residents visiting them in 1999.
