Goesan City in the Spirit of the Asian Championship

⏰Only a few hours remain until one of the most important Kurash tournaments of the year. Final preparations are underway for the Asian Championship among seniors, juniors, and cadets, hosted by the city of Goesan in the Republic of Korea.

🇰🇷The festive atmosphere of Kurash can be felt throughout the city. All the main landmarks of Goesan are decorated with banners reflecting the Asian Championship. The preparation for the tournament is being carried out based on the Olympic system. Participants are brought directly to the accreditation center located at Jungwon University. After registration, designated transport takes them to their hotels.

♻️Athletes and coaches are accommodated in a hotel specifically designated for them, while referees and technical officials are staying in a separate hotel. The entire organization — including volunteers and the sports complex — resembles the system of the Asian Games.

🔰Today, in cooperation with Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Organizing Committee Chairman and President of Korea Kurash Federation Bae Heongsik, Rector of International Kurash Institute Khabibulla Tadjiev, IKA Sports Commission Member Juan Da Wei and organizing committee members, and IKA headquarters staff visited the Goesan Culture & Sports Center, inspected the final preparations at the Goesan Culture & Sports Center — the venue where the competitions will take place.

📌This venue is one of the largest centers in the city dedicated to sports and cultural events. With a capacity to accommodate nearly 3,000 spectators, it will host Asia’s strongest Kurash athletes from August 2 to 4.
So far, national teams from over 10 countries have already arrived in Korea, and the arrival of participating nations is still ongoing.

🎬Seminar for referees on the eve of the Asian Championships has started!

Theoretical and practical sessions have started in Geosan, South Korea, which will be attended by about 50 referees and professionals.

🏛IKA and IKI officials and International experts are participating in the seminar, which is being held at the conference hall of Jungwon University.

📚Accuracy, knowledge and responsibility in refereeing are the foundation of championship success!

📍Бугун Халқаро Кураш ассоциацияси Бош котиби Муҳаммад Реза Нассирий Жанубий Кореянинг Goesan шаҳрида жойлашган Culture & Sports Center спорт мажмуасига ташриф буюриб, тайёргарлик ҳолатини ўрганди. Унга IKA Администрацияси раҳбари Мансур Мирзаев ва чемпионат ташкилий қўмитаси раиси Bae Heongsik ҳамроҳлик қилди.

IKA General Secretary Inspects Final Preparations in Goesan

🇰🇷As the Asian Championships for seniors, cadets, and juniors in Kurash are about to begin, the final preparations for the tournament are in the spotlight.

📍Today, Mohammad Reza Nassiri, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association (IKA), visited the Culture & Sports Center in Goesan, South Korea, to assess the readiness for the event. He was accompanied by Mansur Mirzaev, Head of the IKA Administration, and Bae Heongsik, Chairman of the Championships Organizing Committee.

♻️During the visit, all key areas of the sports complex were inspected, including the main arenas, entry and exit routes, the Kurash gilam, venues for opening and award ceremonies, as well as rooms designated for warm-up exercises. The IKA General Secretary emphasized that all facilities fully comply with international standards.

🖋Additionally, in the first half of the day, a practical training session was held as part of an international seminar organized for referees and coaches at the sports complex. Experienced specialists from IKI conducted hands-on training sessions for participants on Kurash techniques and refereeing rules.

📌Tomorrow, on August 2, the official competitions of the championship will start at the Goesan Culture & Sports Center.
