We are happy to notify you that the second round of the WHO-Caregivers Skill Training for facilitators, which took place from October 14–17, was completed successfully.
Ten psychiatry residents, one psychologist, and two psychiatrists were trained this time.
We appreciate the training being facilitated by the Department of Psychiatry and CPID at SPHMMC. We also thank Drs. Surafel.W, Tigist. Z, Ashenafi. N, Mekdes. D, and Beakal. A for their voluntary training. We also appreciate the trainees for their active participation and commitment, and we look forward to their help in meeting the expanding requirements of caregivers and children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Celebrating a Century of cases: A Milestone in Hepatobiliary and GI MDT

Today, we proudly celebrated the 100th hepatobiliary and GI oncologic case discussed at the Hepatobiliary and GI MDT. This milestone underscores the vital collaboration, dedication, and commitment of experts from various disciplines. We dedicate this achievement to our devoted team members—thank you for your invaluable contributions and for setting a new trend!

Our MDT platform not only enhances patient outcomes through diverse insights but also provides valuable learning opportunities for our members and fellows. This approach aligns with the state-of-the-art global practices and strategic objectives of SPHMMC.

As we commemorate this achievement, we also extend our warmest congratulations to our newly graduated hepatobiliary and colorectal fellows! 🎓

We remain committed to improving the impact of our MDTs and look forward to many more successful collaborations in the future.

Prof Engida has become a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Congratulations to Prof. Engida Abebe. This recognition highlights his expertise and dedication in the fields of general surgery, renal transplant, and endocrine and breast surgery.
It’s a great honor both for him and for the community he serves.
The letters FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon’s name mean that the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College.
Dr. Wuletaw Chanie, Vice Provost for Medical Services, has become Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

o  Blanket, bed sheet, pillowcase
o  Sportswear
Cross-Checking Results:
If you wish to cross-check your exam results, you can do so at the School of Medicine Dean's Office on October 22, 2024. Please bring a receipt of 200 birr for this service. If you cannot come in person, an official representative can do it on your behalf.
