I spent about an hour working on weeding the flower bed in my backyard. It's going to take a while to get it into shape.
There's some kind of vining ground cover that was probably intentionally planted at some point that has taken over the whole thing. I'm trying to be careful about tearing it out, because there are also lillies that I don't want to tear out that are all wrapped up in the vines.
It's been at least a couple of years since this flower bed has been maintained, at least.
If I'm awake early enough tomorrow to work on the flower bed before it gets hot, I'm going to try to put at least a couple hours of work into weeding and cleaning it.

My new neighborhood seems to always be quiet, which is really nice. That's one of those things you won't know until you actually live in a place.
I've been enjoying my morning coffee on the back patio. There's plenty of bird and squirrel life to watch.

My neighbors tree also has a whole flock of some kind of corvid in it. I'm tempted to try to build some kind of relationship with them, but I don't think they would love the dogs when they're here. Fellow corvid fans, please advise.

A lot of the pleasure I'm getting out of my new house is just putting things away in a neat and attractive way.
I'm a big fan of a place for everything and everything in its place.
My en suite bathroom, which is wonderful, doesn't have a lot of storage, especially for smaller items.
This little nightstand was left behind at the house EH and I shared by the previous owner, and it's perfect for this spot between the sinks. I will paint it eventually, but for now I'm just trying to get things put away.
The metal tiered basket thing is something I thrifted. I love it for holding my hair product and lotions and whatnot.
I found myself wandering into the bathroom several times yesterday after I got it all organized to just stand in the energy of a tidy space. Feels good.
