Prelims Papers from UPSC website

Another year, another story...

No doubt this year's paper was bizarre/ unpredictable/ lengthy/ difficult (both bcoz of the plethora of facts and vanishing scope for elimination), however, I think there's no point in judging the paper and labeling it anything. Our opinions aren't going to affect UPSC anyway! Or are they?

Do remember that, among all the unpredictability, there were still the constant categories of "easy", "medium" and "tough" questions. Still, a bunch of 10K odd people are going to qualify, even if the cut-off falls drastically.

Hence, as demotivating as the prelims might be due to lowering/ uncertain returns on hard-work, I would advise not getting too bogged down by these, as at the end of the day, it would be futile (just like preparation done for prelims feels after the exam!)

Stay strong and take it in good stride, or just laugh it off, coz it's all part of the game now. Take the well-deserved rest, analyse the paper patterns/ your answers/ mistakes, and come back strong for other exams or upcoming stages with learnings incorporated .

As for those in the last attempt, this is your year of mukti from the exam, either way. Cherish it while it lasts!
