Who is really a "self-made" man/ woman?

Don't we all stand on the mighty shoulders of those who came before us: our ancestors? Their lives determined ours.

Don't we derive so much from those with us: parents, guardians, siblings, teachers, relatives, friends, foes, spouses colleagues and the list is endless...

Think deeply, we are made from so many of them! 🙏

कभी खुद से भी पूछ ऐ मुसाफिर, की जाना कहाँ है।
हर राह पर मंज़िल मिले ऐसा जरूरी तो नहीं।।

A master, a guru is an illusion. There are no masters in the world, they are all really catalysts,

...for they only facilitate and accelerate the process of learning without themselves being affected.

Any guesses what the "PM-PRANAM" scheme relates to?

It was announced in the last Budget and recently approved by CCEA.

UPSC aspirants

We study history  we won't become historians

We study the economy we won't become economists

We study disaster management, we can't manage our own disasters in our life

We study ethics, but we are not Ethical 🙊

Finally, UPSC will select who is the best jack😎😎

The Empty Boat

If a man is crossing a river and an empty boat collides with his own skiff,
even though he be a bad-tempered man
he will not become very angry.

But if he sees a man in the boat, he will shout at him to steer clear.

If the shout is not heard, he will shout again, and yet again, and begin cursing.

And all because there is somebody in the boat.

Yet if the boat were empty, he would not be shouting, and not angry.

If you can empty your own boat crossing the river of the world, no one will oppose you, no one will seek to harm you…

Who can free himself from achievement, and from fame, descend and be lost amid the masses of men? He will flow like Tao, unseen, he will go about like Life itself with no name and no home.

Simple is he, without distinction. To all appearances he is a fool. His steps leave no trace. He has no power. He achieves nothing, has no reputation. Since he judges no one, no one judges him. Such is the perfect man: His boat is empty.

Happy to share that my 2nd International Scientific Paper got published today😇

The paper relates to estimation of impact of mining activity on the groundwater regime of area surrounding the mega coal mines of Korba in Central India, through 3D numerical modeling.

Strategically enough, three of the coal mines in this study together account for around 20% of India's domestic coal production. And to put things into perspective, there are like 600 coal mines in India!

What's more: Gevra OC mine, the centre of study here, arguably holds the record of being Asia's largest open cast coal mine.
