Did Jesus even know about us?

The Bible doesn’t mention a single Germanic tribe!

However there were German slaves in the Levant and Herod Agrippa II, king of Judea, knew all about Germany according to his words recorded by Hebrew historian Josephus 9 years after they were spoken in 66 AD

This early Indo-European culture, the Single Grave Culture in the ancestral lands of the Anglo-Saxons, is ancestral to all Celtic and Germanic peoples.

These deists, atheists, agnostics, platonists and occultists of the last 500 years are all English.

How then can Englishness be said to be contingent on Christianity?

Christianity is an important part of English history that cannot be denied, but people who try and depict it as the essential, defining characteristic of Englishness are being dishonest.

There is an urban myth that the English are "more Brythonic Celt than Anglo-Saxon" which comes from misrepresentation of admixture averages across regions.

So I made this (rather ugly) map to show which regions of England are majority Germanic and which are majority IA British.

Note: I did not acknowledge the widespread French ancestry that is also in England

While filming in Lower Saxony I was very fortunate to be allowed to hold this new gold bracteate find from near Stade.

It has a Wodenic king's head surrounded by a serpent. Quite likely this depicts an ancestor of the English folk
