I worked with Ian Somerhalder today & I just wanted to pop in to say as someone who frequently helps out celebs - he was one of the nicest I have ever met in my entire career. I have a large list of those I’ve helped but an incredibly small list of ones that were nice. If he frequents this forum at all I just wanted to thank you for being so kind.

What was it like watching TVD when it first came out?

I just finished watching TVD for the first time. Obviously, I'm streaming the show, so I can watch every episode in a row. But it makes me wonder what was it like to watch TVD when the seasons first aired, as the episodes where being doled out?

Did a lot of your peers watch the show and was it commonly talked about?

Did it have a big impact on your life (like maybe fashion choices or groups you hung out with)?

What was the worst between season cliff hanger?

Have your opinions about the show changed from when you initially watched an episode a week to being able to watch it through?

I didn't grow up with TV, so I'm really curious about the initial impact of the show, I guess. I can only imagine what it felt like watching Elena die at the end of season 3 and then have to wait for a whole new season haha.

The ending

I just spent 7 weeks binging this series. (Team Damon) the last episode went from full on chaos as always to suddenly the end. 5 minutes of “we’re growing old and dying” and that’s it. I was already getting disappointed with the last few seasons being so predictable but that ending takes the disappointment cake.

I read somewhere there’s a spin off called Legacies. I’ll give it a go but not sure if I’ll be thrilled with it without Damon to keep me occupied lol

Daylight jewelry

We know rings are the most prominent daylight jewelry but we know from Katherine and Isobel daylight bracelets and daylight necklaces exist. So since rings aren't the requirement it'd be cool to have a daylight piercing like nose, lip, eyebrow etc

Also side note is the point that they have to be exposed to sunlight?

I didn’t care much about her in season 1, but by the time she hits her stride she ended up being one of my favorites.

Once bitten, twice shy

Ok guys. In a town full of vampires feeding off people. Why don't we see scars? Does a vampire bite no scar? They are literally puncture wounds. I remember seeing unhealed wounds on human Caroline.

The amount of times we see someone in a scarf. Then see same person later on with a flawless skin.

Am I missing something? Has it been addressed? Am I crazy that this puzzles me?

Thoughts on this? I don't know why it bothers me.

i just started s4 and im in tears man they just spent two seasons trying to kill klaus, did it, then he came back instantly and now everyone is just chilling? :DD damon cracking jokes "haha i fought this evil guy" and stefan casually calling him for help lol

not complaining tho im glad theres new storylines but the switch was so sudden its hilarious

Elena may be (is) an annoying hypocrite but she never compelled Stephan to sleep with her and drink her blood.

Just finished season 6

First time watcher. I’m not sure if I should even attempt season 7 and 8 because it seems no one recommends them! Should I just call it a day on tvd? I’ve enjoyed it so far although the last two seasons I watch an episode a day and didn’t binge watch like I did the first 4.
