Steroline was never it

I know a lot of people loved Stefan and Caroline, but honestly, I never bought into Steroline. Their relationship felt forced, like the writers just threw them together because they didn’t know what else to do with their characters.

I have always shipped Delena, but when Stefan and Caroline started dating I immediately switched to Stelena, because it honestly felt like Stefan and Elena had way more chemistry than Steroline ever did. Caroline’s character arc was stronger when she wasn’t tied down to Stefan, and Stefan’s story worked better either on his own or with Elena.

For me, Steroline always felt like a last-minute ship that never truly fit either character. Anyone else feel this way, or am I completely alone here?
