Thoughts on Stefan and Caroline

I'm currently rewatching TVD and it's after the heretics are introduced but I've been thinking about Stefan and Caroline and something about them together doesn't feel right to me. I feel like if Caroline's mom didn't die, they would never have gotten together. What are y'alls thoughts?

How did anyone ever believe the animal attack story?

I was always confused on how the town wrote off the murders so quick, Every time someone dies they blame it on an "animal attack". But which animal? I lived in that part of VA for years and the only animals it could be are coyotes and mayyyybe black bears. But coyotes VERY rarely attack humans. And black bears stay deep in the forest, they also rarely join the human population lol.

Just thought it was interesting how the whole town accepts the "animal attack" story without giving it too much question.

Why didn’t they just kill Rebekah in season 4 if she took the human cure

When they wanted Elena to take it but Rebekah also wanted it why didn’t they just tell her that if she took the cure and became human, they’d slaughter her and her future human family that she so desperately wanted. Pretty brutal but I was thinking this while watching the whole season lol

anyone else rewatching Vampire Diaries and realising how dumb everyone is.

i’ve decided to watch the show again but this time with my mum and it’s her first time. she says she doesn’t like watching vampire shows because she thinks it’s a copy of buffy the vampire slayer. anyway she loves it we just ended season 2 but she highlighted so many things that honestly i didn’t DEEP at first:

•season 1 stefan is actually like weak asf, and he talks a big game but most times he doesn’t really execute anything without damon.

• s brothers actually can both be stubborn but i think i already knew that. what i didn’t realise is that elena actually has good ideas despite them being risky, but they overstep her and that’s really toxic tbh.

•my mum thinks caroline is ridiculous for staying with tyler knowing damn well she can be bitten.

•she doesn’t understand why production insists on ruining damon’s character development.

•my mum already knows that damon ends up being with elena but she is really mad that damon never gets to date someone else cough cough rose.

•i think when tied to supernatural entities it’s clear that someone has to die, and like suddenly EVERYONE has a death wish😭 i never realised how annoying that was.

•she also noticed tons of plot holes that i never questioned but i don’t remember them all but one of them was when tyler turns into a wolf and it’s caroline damon and matt. caroline and matt go to the dungeon and then matt shoots him and they are able to run off but couldn’t Caroline have done that when she was in the forest.she has before.
