‼️Al Walā wal Barā (love and hate for the sake of Allah) are key characteristics of every believer in Tawhīd.‼️

💠Ibn Abbas (Rady'Allahu anhu) reported to have said:

🔰"Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, and hates for the sake of Allah, and whoever seals a friendship for His sake, or declares an enmity for His sake, will receive, because of this, the protection of Allah.

♨️No one may taste true faith except by this, even if his prayers and fasts are many. People have come to build their relationships around the concerns of the world, but it will not benefit them in any way.

[Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, Jami' al-Ulum wal Hikam, p.30]
💥Three Acts Whose Rewards Are Beyond Measure

💠Some deeds are so immense in their virtue that Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has not specified their reward, leaving it open—without limits—due to their greatness. These acts are not only means of immense blessings but also reflect the highest levels of faith and character.

1️⃣ Pardoning Others

Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) says in the Qur’an:

‎فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ

“But whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah.” [Qur’an 42:40]

💢To forgive when one has the right to retaliate is a sign of true strength. When we pardon others for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa taala , we entrust our reward to Him alone—and what He gives in return is beyond human comprehension. The Prophet ﷺ, despite facing immense harm, forgave even his greatest enemies, teaching us that forgiveness elevates the soul and brings divine mercy.

2️⃣ Patience (Sabr)

Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) promises:

‎إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى الصَّابِرُونَ أَجْرَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

“Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.” [Qur’an 39:10]

🍃Patience in hardship, patience in obedience, and patience in refraining from sin—each form of sabr carries immeasurable rewards. Trials in life are inevitable, but enduring them with faith brings a reward so vast that only Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) knows its true magnitude. It is a trait of the Prophets and the righteous, a means to elevation in this life and the next.

3️⃣ Fasting (Sawm)

In a Hadith Qudsi, Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) declares:

💠“Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting, which is exclusively for Me, and I will reward him for it.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

🔰Unlike other deeds, fasting is an act of worship known only between the servant and his Lord. It cultivates sincerity, self-discipline, and a deep connection with Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) . Because of its purity, Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has kept its reward hidden—reserved for the Day when He will bestow His limitless generosity upon those who fasted for His sake.

💥A Call to Attain the Greatest Rewards

💢If we seek an unlimited reward from Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala), let us embody these virtues:

💠Forgive, even when we have the right to retaliate.
💠Be patient, knowing that trials are temporary, but Allah’s reward is eternal.
💠Fast, not only from food but from sins, distractions, and heedlessness.

Allah subhanahu wa taala grant us sincerity in our deeds and make us among those whose rewards are beyond measure during this month of Ramadan Ameen!
‼️How do we see our sins

💠'Abdullāh Ibn Mas'ūd رضي الله عنه said:

‎"إن المؤمن يرى ذنوبه كأنه قاعد تحت جبل يخاف أن يقع عليه ، وإن الفاجر يرى ذنوبه كذباب مر على أنفه."💢

🏔"The believer sees his sins as if he is sitting at the foot of a mountain fearing that it might fall on him, while the sinner sees his sins as a fly that lands on his nose, he just waves it away."

[Al-Bukhārī, Al-Sahīh, The Book of Supplications, Chapter on Tawbah]

💠Ibn Hajr (Rahimahu'Allah) quotes in his commentary, Fath Al-Bārī:

🔰Ibn Abī Jumrah said, “The reason for this [fear] is that the heart of a believer is illuminated; so when he sees from himself something that goes against what he illuminates his heart with, it is very distressing to him.

💥The wisdom behind giving the example of a mountain is that a person might find some way to escape from other dangers, but if a mountain falls on a person he does not survive.

💢In short, the believer is dominated by fear (of Allah) due to the strength of īmān he has; he does not therefore feel falsely secure about being punished because of his sins.

💠This is the way of the Muslim: he always fears and checks on himself, his good deeds are little to him and he fears even the small bad deeds he has done.”

💠Actions Specific to the Last Ten of Ramadan
💠Haafidh Ibn Rajab al Hanbali,
💢Lataa-if al Ma’aarif feema li Mawaasim al ‘Aam min al Wadhaa-if, 207

❖❐ The Messenger - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to specify the last ten days of Ramadan with specific actions that he wouldn’t practice during the rest of the month.

💠 Amongst them: Staying up at night, it is possible that what is meant is that he would stay up the whole night, in the Hadith of ‘Aa-ishah:

💠 “The Messenger used to combine between sleep and prayer during the first twenty days, when that last ten came in, he would role up his sleves and tighten his Izaar.” [Narrated by Ahmad]

💠 It is also possible that what is meant is; he used to stay up the majority of the night, this opinion is supported by a Hadith collected by Muslim on the authority of ‘Aa-ishah:

💠 “I do not know that he ever stayed up until the morning for even one night.”

💠 Amongst them: The Messenger - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to wake his family for the prayer during the last ten days and not in other nights.

💠 Sufyaan at Thawree stated: Praying Tahajud in [the last part of] the night is beloved to me, and that a person strives in it, and wakens his family and children to pray if they are able.

💠 It has been authentically reported that the Messenger - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to knock on Faatimah and Ali’s door at night and say to them: “Will you not wake up and pray.” [Collected by both Bukhari and Muslim.]

💠 He used to wake ‘Aa-ishah up at night after he finishes praying Tahajud before he prays Witr. An encouragement has been narrated for the spouses, that each one wakes the other and lightly sprays water on their face.

💠 A narration in Muwata Malik states that ‘Umar ibn al Khataab used to pray at night what Allah willed him to pray, when the middle of the night approached, he would wake his family to pray and say to them: “The prayer, the prayer.” and recite this verse:

💠 And enjoin the prayers on your family, and be patient upon them [Taha: 132]

💠 Abu Muhammad, Habeeb al Faarisee’s wife used to say to him at night:

💠“The night is passing, ahead of us is a long journey and our provision is scarce, the caravans of the righteous have passed on ahead of us while we remain.”

💠 O Sleeping one get up and lay down later,

💠 wake up my beloved, the time has come.

💠 Take from the night and its time,

💠 some remembrance while the sleeping one sleeps.

💠 Whoever sleeps until the night is gone,

💠 when would he reach his home or tire.

💠 Amongst them, is that the Prophet - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to tighten his Izaar. The scholars differed about its meaning; amongst them are those who said that it is an idiom indicating his eagerness and his efforts in worship, this explanation is not free of scrutiny.

💠 The correct understanding is that it means he used to refrain from [sexual relations with] women. This is how the Salaf and the Imams of the earlier generations explained it, amongst them is Sufyaan ath Thawree.

💠 He mentions in his Tafsir that he would not retire to his bed until Ramadan was over, and in the Hadith of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him: “He used to forsake his bed and refrain from [sexual relations with] women.”

💠 Some of the Salaf explained the saying of Allah:

💠 So now have sexual relations with them and seek what Allah has ordained for you. [Al Baqarah: 187]

💠 They explained that this is due to seeking Laylatul Qadr. The meaning is that when Allah permitted sexual relations with women in the nights of fasting until the dawn becomes clear,

💠 He also ordered the seeking of Laylatul Qadr, so that the Muslims are not busy during the nights of this month with permissible pleasures that would make them miss Laylatul Qadr.

💠 It is from this angle that the Messenger used to have relations with his family during the first twenty days, he would then refrain and free himself to seek Laylatul Qadr in the last ten.

💠 Amongst them; al ‘Itikaaf.
In a Hadith collected by both Bukhari and Muslim on the authority of ‘Aa-ishah that the Messenger of Allah - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to practice ‘Itikaaf on the last ten days until he passed away. In Sahih al Bukhari on the authority of Abu Hurayrah:

💠 “The Messenger of Allah used to practice ‘Itikaaf for ten days every Ramadan, in the year that he passed away, he practiced ‘Itikaaf for twenty.”

💠 The Mu’takif imprisons himself to the obedience and remembrance of Allah, he cuts off all the issues that distract him, he turns to his Lord and all that draws close to Him with his heart, and nothing remains with him other than Allah and what pleases Him.

💠 The more the knowledge of Allah and love for Him is strengthened, the more a person is able to completely cut himself off from anything other than Allah the Eleveated.

✍️Al-Imām ibn Rajab al-Hambali [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

💥“O’ you who have wasted the years of his life, make up what you have missed, there is nothing which will amend those lost and wasted years except for the Night of Glory (Laylatul Qadr) for certainly its (value is) equivalent to that of a lifetime.”

🔰Among the causes of having worries disappear and sins forgiven is sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ, and the effect of sending ṣalāh upon him on Friday is greatest.

💠Ubayy ibn Kaʻb, may Allah be pleased with him, said,

🔰"O Messenger of Allah, I frequently invoke the blessings of Allah upon you. How much of my supplications should I devote to you?"

💢He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, "Whatever you wish." I said, "A quarter?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "One half?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Two thirds?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Shall I devote all my supplication to (invoking blessings upon) you?"

💥He said, "Then, you will be freed from your worry and your sin will be forgiven."

[At-Tirmithi: good-authentic; Al-Haakim in Al-Mustadrak]

💠Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) said:  Verily the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

💥Whoever sends Salah upon me once Allah will send ten (blessings) upon him and remove ten of his sins and raise his rank by ten levels.

[Imam Ahmad in his Musnad, Imam Bukharee in Adabul Mufrad #642 and #643. Jami Sagheer #6359 authenticated by Al Abaanee]

💠“Truly Allah and His angels say Salah on the Prophet, O you believers, recite Salah on him and send Salam on him completely.” [Al-Ahzab | C.33: A.56]

💠 Ibn Abbas (Rady'Allahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said,

‼️"Whoever forgets to send blessings upon me, he has missed a path to Paradise."

💠Imam Ibn Qayyim, Rahimahu'Allah, said:

💥“Friday is a day of worship and it in comparison to the rest of the days of the week is like Ramadan is to the rest of the months.

🔰And the hour of the acceptance of the du’a therein is like the night of Qadr is in the month of Ramadan.”
