"Allah's Favour – He Grants It to Whom He Wills"

My father, Sheikh Muqbil (may Allah have mercy on him), said in his talk <<My Advice to Those Who Have Repented from _the Makārimah_ >>:

"I advise my brothers for the sake of Allah: to seek knowledge.
But listen: I don't mean that you start with elementary school, then intermediate, then secondary school, then university, then a master's degree, then a doctorate.

That is not what I meant, my brother.
What I meant is that you seek beneficial knowledge; the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

It is possible that your knowledge, in just three years, will surpass that of many who hold doctorates.
And Allah is the One whose help is sought."

📖The Advise of my Father to his daughter and his sisters in Islaam.📖

✒️I advise Umm Abdillaah and her sisters to be in constant pursuit in the service of the Sunnah of the Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم in the service of dawah, (propagating) it in the ranks amongst the women and educating them in their religion.

🍂Certainly, a broad, extensive evil has entered upon Islaam because of the ignorance of the woman concerning her religion. Because of this ignorance, she has become a tool used by the enemies of Islaam as a means of attack upon Islaam, except for (a few), those whom Allaah سبحانه و تعالى has had mercy upon (women).

🔸لا تلعب الأجواء بطالبة العلم🔸


🍂ينبغي لطالبة العلم أن تحرص على وقتها وتحافظ عليه ولا تلعب بها الأجواء، هذا اليوم برد، هذا اليوم حر، ويذهب الوقت؛ لأنه حَرٌّ، صحيح الحر يأتي بالفتور، ويزعج النفس، ويقلِّل من انشراح الصدر، لكن طالبة العلم تصبر على أي حال، وتجاهد، «المُجَاهِدُ مَن جَاهَدَ نَفسَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ». رواه الإمام أحمد (39/ 386) عن فَضَالَةَ بنِ عُبَيدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنهُ.


📌 *Tips and Recommendations*:

🍂*Environment/Weather, should not play a major role in the life of a student of knowledge.*🍂

🔸 A student of knowledge should strive hard to preserve her time and not waste it. The weather should not affect her mood, causing her to complain: "Today, it’s too cold," or "too hot!!" -- which results in wasting time.

🔸There is no doubt that hot days are exhausting whereby laziness and discomfort are aggravated. However, a student of knowledge should try to exercise patience in any state and strive to work hard:_“Al-Mujahid_ is the one who works hard and endeavours for the sake of Allaah."

📓Narrated by Imam Ahmed (39/386) according to Fadala ibn Obaid (may Allaah have mercy upon him).

🔴النظر إلى كبير السن

🍂سألت والدي رحمه الله:عن المرأة تنظر إلى كبير السن ؟

فأجابني : لا تنظر الدليل عام :{ وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ}[النور:31].

🍂What about women looking at older men?

✒️He replied, "They shouldn’t look as the evidence in this matter is general."

Allah says:

(وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ )

▪️That means “And say to the believing women to lower their gaze from looking at forbidden things” Surah Noor: Verse 31.

🔸إتلاف الرسائل التي يُخشى من بقائِها🔸

📗عن كعب بن مالك رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ في قصة هجر النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ له بسبب تخلفه عن غزوة تبوك، أرسل إليه ملك غسان بكتاب،قال: فَقَرَأْتُهُ فَإِذَا فِيهِ: أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ صَاحِبَكَ قَدْ جَفَاكَ، وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْكَ اللهُ بِدَارِ هَوَانٍ وَلَا مَضْيَعَةٍ، فَالْحَقْ بِنَا نُوَاسِكَ، قَالَ فَقُلْتُ: حِينَ قَرَأْتُهَا: وَهَذِهِ أَيْضَا مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ فَتَيَامَمْتُ بِهَا التَّنُّورَ فَسَجَرْتُهَا بِهَا. رواه البخاري ومسلم.

📌نستفيد منه: أنه إذا وصلت رسالة يُخشى منها الفتنة على النفس، إذا كانت في جوال تُحذَف، وإن كانت في ورقة تُحْرَق؛ لأن النفس قد ترغب في الاطلاع عليها مرة أخرى، ولا يُؤمَن على النفس.

🔸Destroying Letters out of Fear of Remains🔸

📗On the authority of Ka’ab bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet peace be upon him abandoned him when he trailed behind during the Battle of Tabuk. The king of Ghassan sent to him a book, saying:”Having said that, it has reached us that you’ve been estranged by your companion, and Allah did not leave you in a dishonorable land nor abandoned you, so come join us and we will console you. When I read it, I said: “And this is also from the affliction”. (Bukhari and Muslim).

📌 Benefits: We learn from this story that once you receive a message that’s harmful to your Iman, delete it if it’s on a mobile phone and burned it if it is on a piece of paper. Because you may want to look at it again, and you can’t trust your-self with such matters.

🔴تفقد القلوب🔴

🍂قال ابن القيم رحمه الله في الفوائد (149):

▪️أطلب قَلْبك فِي ثَلَاثَة مَوَاطِن:

📌عنْد سَماع الْقُرْآن ،

📌وفِي مجَالِس الذّكر،

📌وفِي أَوْقَات الْخلْوَة .

▪️فإِن لم تَجدهُ فِي هَذِه المواطن فسل الله أَن يمُن عَلَيْك بقلب فَإِنَّهُ لَا قلب لَك .اهـ.


🔎 *Examine and check the condition of your heart*

Ibnul-Qayyim, (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Fawaaid (149):

Seek (the presence) of your heart in three places:

1. When listening to Qur'aan;

2. Gatherings for Dhikr (remembrance);

3. In times of solitude.

If you do not find the presence of your heart in these places, then ask Allaah سبحانه و تعالى to bless you with a new heart, for certainly you
