Lite mode in Telegram for macOS

In the beta version of Telegram for macOS a «lite mode» has been introduced which disables all visual effects in the client. Animations for animated emojis and stickers are only available on mouseover.

The lite mode is recommended for devices with low CPU and memory specifications.

The option is located at the top of the «General Settings». It is unknown whether the lite mode will be included in the stable version of the messenger.

New media viewer in Telegram X

Telegram X for Android 0.25.5.1590 has been completely redesigned to view media sent as a document.

What's new:
— You can open media documents (photos, videos, GIFs) inside Telegram X without going to third-party apps.
— You can zoom in photos when you double-click in the media viewer.
— Photos are now displayed in their original quality, while previously they were displayed at a lower quality and limited maximum resolution.
— You can quickly view all media documents after opening one of the shared media.
— Full-screen mode in the media viewer (hides navigation, no visual problems in landscape mode on the edges of the screen).

You can download the Beta version from Google Play after logging into the testing program, or from the official @tgx_log channel.
