Lesson 13 Da’wa


• If you compare a person to somebody else that hardly gets to the masjed maybe just for salat Al Gomoa صلاة الجمعةright , that's the only day he can go there and Allah knows best may be he's sleeping throughout theخُطبةor maybe playing with his phone which he is not supposed to do that, this invalidates this خطبة ,but over all you can see people their hearts are not really attached to the masajed
What happens when you get your heart attached to the masjed?

Number one:
you will know another brothers , and for the sister too she will know another sisters , that their hearts will be attached to each other and they're going to love each other for the sake of Allah عز وجلand this is something really really you cannot easily value, money wise or material things, very difficult to value because Allahسبحانه وتعالىmentioned in the quran🌺(وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ لَوْ أَنفَقْتَ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَّآ أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ)Allahسبحانه وتعالىmentioned this ayaAllah is the one who puts the hearts together for one person to love another and Allahسبحانه وتعالىin this aya was referring to الأنصار و المهاجرينyou know at the time ofرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلمwhen sahaba left Mecca and went to Madina and then you know the أنصارthe helpers from the Madina they were waiting for them, shared everything with them, the love also between theمهاجرينand also between theأنصارamong themselves and that's the love for theدين

• And then when you really talk about the masajed, then you can see Allahسبحانه وتعالىthe way he describes in the Quran Allahسبحانه وتعالىsays فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ (36) Allah in the beginning he said in the houses of Allahفى بيوتthese are the houses of Allahعز وجلAllah will give the permission that his name will be raised there and theذكرof Allahعز وجلwill be mentioned there

• يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ (36)Indeed throughout the day the time people makeتسبيحfor Allahعز وجل

• رجال من ؟رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَارَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ ۙ يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَالْأَبْصَارُ (37)Indeed these men ; تجارةbusiness anything other than Allahعز وجلis not going to take their minds away right , neither selling or anything it's not going to take their minds away from theذكرof Allah عز وجلmention of Allahعز وجل و إقام الصلاهestablishing the صلاةthe prayer , و إيتاء الزكاةgiving zakah, right

• What these people (what's the fear that comes in these people's minds) ? يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَالْأَبْصَارُThey really worry about that day they're going to be in the front of Allahعز وجلand they're going to be asked about their deeds, right

• And you remember the hadeeth of رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "سبعة يُظلهم الله بِظله يومَ لا ظِل إلا ظِلُه"There are seven different categories of people that Allah will have them under his shadow when there is no shadow but the shadow of Allahعز وجلright , and among these right, a man his heart is attached to the masajed"رجلٌ قلبُهُ مُعلقٌ بالمساجد"somebody whose heart is attached to the masajed and among these seven two people they love each other for the sake of Allahعز وجلthey meet for that and they finish their meeting on that too right ,with the love of Allahعز وجل

• So if we think about masajed that they follow the Quran and the sunnah that they are in theنهج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلمthe way ofرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلمwe're definitely going to see some good brothers, good sisters in these masajed they're trying to follow that right , and that the more you get to the masjed, the more you spend time in the masjed, the more you pray in جماعةthe more you can establish whatever is good in the community that they want , then your heart gets attached to the masjed number one.

Number two you also have this value relationship that is the love for the sake of Allahعز وجلand with these two are happening , then you are in the right path to Allahعز وجلand when you get a calamity or a test with whatever it is whether health, business, loss of a close one in family, you're going to see the entire masjed making دعاءfor you, What would you get is that if you will decide to go in the other round just go to the masjed, pray جمعةor maybe just go there in the eid عيد right , a lot of people are like that unfortunately a lot of muslims like that, they only go to the masajed in صلاة العيد

• Where you're going to feel more comfortable and more ease other than the houses of Allah ! Where? Not even your own house, not your family's house, not your friend's house, not anywhere except in the houses of Allah عز وجلSo
if we get today out of today's talk the most important things are two things ;
we can build in the way to Allah عز وجلطريق الدعوة الإسلاميةwe built to get these hearts attached to the masajed, the masajed that follow the quran and the sunnah and in these masajed you'll find the hearts of the brothers that they care about theدينand the religion and they want to be part of whatever they can do right , to help their masjed, their communities .

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته..
إن الحمدلله نحمده ونستعينه ونستهديه ونستغفره، ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا..
من يهده الله فلا مضل له ومن يضلل فلا هادي له وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمد عبده ورسوله..
أما بعد..
فإن أصدق الحديث كلام الله وخير الهدي هدي محمد ﷺ، وشر الأمور محادثاتها وكل محدثة بدعة وكل بدعة ضلالة
وكل ضلالة في النار..
 
All thanks and prays is due to Allah (سبحانه وتعالى), we seek refuge to Allah from our bad deed and our bad action.
The one whom Allah guide, no one will misguide. The one who is misguided, no one will guide. And I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah (سبحانه وتعالى),
الفرد الصمد الواحد الأحد
And Mohamed (ﷺ), is his messenger and slave.
 
Indeed, the best of the speech is the speech of Quran and the best of the guidance is the guidance of Mohamed (ﷺ). The worst of the matters in our religion is the innovation. Each innovation can be a misguide and each misguide can lead us to the hellfire
والعياذ بالله.
 
اللهم لك الحمد لكمال وجهك وعظيم سلطانك..

If somebody asks you or me after calamity or after a hardship. So, the question will come after the hardship, or a challenge will come in the way. If you were told by the doctor that you are in a very dangerous situation health wise and you are about to maybe live for a specific number of months to come, for example. Allah knows best of course but we all hear that and see this situation. The question that you and I might ask ourselves, what would be that question? So, what can keep you in connection with Allah (عز وجل).
في الدعوة الإسلامية..
And to the way to Allah (عز وجل). When We always ask ourselves, what do we have to meet Allah with (عز وجل). What have we done to meet Allah with?
And you immediately remember this Ayah:
{أَنْ تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَا حَسْرَتَا عَلَى مَا فَرَّطْتُ فِي جَنْبِ اللَّهِ}
When the soul will tell itself: Wow and what I waste not doing things for Allah (عز وجل).
The best translation of this Ayah.
When the soul will tell itself: Wow how much time did I waste rather that getting closer to Allah (عز وجل).
 
So, this is one of the questions that we might ask ourselves. We'd rather to ask ourselves that question when everything is good, when life is going on rather than when we really have a hardship and you are told that you are in a very difficult status, and you have this amount of days, or months or years left. And again, Allah knows best. So, what will be the question?
Another thing might cross our mind, let's assume that what is going on in your mind that I am leaving this Dunia. What you really going to miss in this Dunia. If you think about it. What is the most thing you going to miss in this Dunia?
We need to ask ourselves that.
 
Another word, what is really making you happy in this Dunia so when you leave the Dunia we going to be very sad about it. What is it?
And that can show you the road or your map in this Dunia. Is it going to the right direction to Allah (عز وجل)? Or is it going to different directions? Right? What you are going to be? What would you cry for if you leave this Dunia tomorrow? Would you cry for your business, your job that you spending many hours daily in it? It doesn't matter you love it, or you do not love it, you just want to gain money as much as you can. So, you keep working or even rather people keep working as much to have higher standards and higher status.
Isn't it the job? Isn't it the money that going to make you happy when you leave the Dunia, you will be going to cry over it?
Isn't it the family? the kids? That is what you going to miss the most? Of course, that is something in the blood that Allah told about it in the Quran. Where is that priority from Allah (عز وجل)?
Isn't it the (مسجد) you will be going to miss? Isn't the circle of knowledge that you get used to and sit on and enjoy and forget about everything in the Dunia can make you upset and sad...

As soon as put your foot into the(مسجد) and as soon as you start the prayer with the (جماعة), seeing the brothers that you love for the sake of Allah, as soon as you sit hear the words of Allah, as soon as you get closer to Allah, that is really give you the joy and the happiness, right? Isn't it?
That is another question that we ask ourselves and gives you where you at?
So,
من أصعب الأمور أن تأتي الدنيا وترحل ولا تعلم لماذا نحن هنا..
One of the thing major challenges for most of us that we come to this Dunia and we leave this Dunia and we do not know why we were here to begin with.
والأصعب أن..
What is harder than that…
إن علمت، وتعيش لنفسك
When you knew and you get to know what you are here for, to worship Allah of course and everything else but then, you rather live for yourself, not for your community, not for the Ummah of Muhammad (ﷺ).
You see, you pray, you fast, you go to hajj and you do Zakat. All that is for you.
It is (عبادة). Rather than the Zakat is for you and you give also for the others, maybe that a little bet of exceptions.
 
But what else that you are doing to benefit others?
As you see our Deen is all in group 'Jammaa', we pray (جماعة) together.
When you go to Hajj, how many people? Millions.
When we fast, all the Muslims across the face of the earth they fast.
So all our work together, right?
 
So, you might ask yourself, [Right] what am I bringing on the table? For my community, for my Deen.
 
قد مات قوم وما ماتت فضائلهم
وعاش قوم وهم في الناس أموات.
You know some people they died already but still their good deeds, their reputation, their names are being mentioned even after their death.
وعاش قوم وهم في الناس أموات
And people living among each other but as if they are dead. They are not bringing anything. They are not doing anything.
 
So, we must remember these things. If I am about to die tomorrow, what I am going to miss the most.
 
And also, if I know I am going to meet Allah, what are you thinking of? You know. Your short coming.
So, immediately when you answer these questions, you going to change your life. You going to change your mind set of life. You are going to say OK, that is the way to Allah. This is (دعوة) to Allah (عز وجل).
الدعوة الإسلامية..
 
What I need to do?
You know. Gain knowledge for yourself, learn the basic of your Deen. Learn how to make (الطهارة), learn how to perform the Salah like the Prophet (ﷺ) performed it. Learn the basics of Islam. You know. What each Muslim should know.
Then little by little by going to the (مساجد), learn more. Your heart to be attached to the (مساجد). To learn more about your Deen. Now, automatically, you start advising others with what you know in a nice way...
الدين النصيحة..
The religion is all about, you know, advising one another, in a good way.
 
{ادْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ}
Call for the way of Allah with wisdom and a good way.
As we go, we are learning, knowledge road does not end. So when you get attached in this circle of life, then, believe me, that all the (هموم) and all the things that bother you or can get upset or take you away from Allah (عز وجل), Allah will be taking care of that for you.
 
As we mentioned before in the Hadith about the Prophet (ﷺ):
(من كانتِ الآخرةُ هَمَّهُ جعلَ اللَّهُ غناهُ في قلبِهِ وجمعَ لَه شملَهُ وأتتهُ الدُّنيا وَهيَ راغمةٌ)
The one who is going to think about the (الآخرة).
The one who is living his life in Daawa / (الدعوة الإسلامية) to Allah (عز وجل), thinking about (الآخرة), thinking about the way when he is going to meet Allah and what he is going to meet Allah with.
 
When all of that happens, the hadith says:
(جعلَ اللَّهُ غناهُ في قلبِهِ)
'Allah will make your heart satisfied'
Ask some people, they might be in the traffic lights in their car, the car, the brand-new car that they love, they have saved all their life for it, sitting in a traffic light. And all that sudden they see next to them, through the window another car, much nicer than theirs, much more expensive than theirs.
Now, the difference between your heart and anybody else's heart.

The heart who is attached to Allah (عز وجل) is not going to even looked twice. He is satisfied with what Allah has given and he is happy with it.
But the other heart that is never satisfied, always his goal is the Dunia, he is going to say: O man! Look at this, I wish I get this car. And he forgets he has just gotten a brand new car, the one he was saving for. But he saw something better than what he has.
And that is what the Dunia is about. Always, always there is something better than what you have. There is someone who is more handsome than you, somebody there is more educated than you. Somebody there is richer than you, and it is on and on and on.
 
So, where is the satisfaction? The one who is going to be concerned about the hereafter (الآخرة), Allah will make their hearts satisfied. That is important. Nobody can put value to that, nobody can buy that.
(وجمعَ لَه شملَهُ)
And Allah will get all his affair together for him. Allah will solve all of your affair. Instead of running after your affairs and getting busy, how do this? How am I going to pay the bill for this, how I am going to do that? No, Allah is taking care of all of these affairs for you.
 
(وأتتهُ الدُّنيا وَهيَ راغمةٌ)
And the Dunia will come under your feet. What a way of life!
 
(ومن كانتِ الدُّنيا همَّهُ)
And in the other hand, Rasoul Allah (ﷺ) said the one who going to be concerned about this Dunia, the life, everything about Dunia, he is not thinking about the (آخرة), he does not think about meeting Allah. He thinks that he going to live forever.
(جعلَ اللَّهُ فقرَهُ بينَ عينيهِ)
Then, nothing satisfied you. As we gave the example of the car, and there are a lot of examples up there, [Right]. Nothing will satisfy that person's heart.
سبحان الله
(ولم يأتِهِ منَ الدُّنيا إلَّا ما قُدِّرَ لَهُ)
And nothing will come from the Dunia except for what Allah has written to him. But probably he is not going to get it with honor, because he is running after it and he is going to sell his principles and is going to sell his Deen to get whatever he wants to get in this Dunia.
(وفرَّقَ عليهِ شملَهُ)
And his affair is gonna be all over the place and he is gonna run after it. You see the difference? That's the difference.
So, we ask Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) that when we are in the way to Allah (عز وجل), when we think about (الدعوة الإسلامية), immediately we think about ourselves, obviously to be educated about Allah, know who Allah is, know how to perform our Salah, get the basics of the Deen. Now, to start to be our heart attach more to the (مساجد). Start to know more about the Deen, start to spread the Deen. Advise people around us and automatically your action will speak about you and who you are, with the religion, because a lot of people can read, they can memorize as may book they can memorize. If they memorized but not reflected on their actions, then, that is against them.
 
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
(I came to complete the manners).
Meaning actions, that is action.

So, we ask Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) to benefit from what we heard. And we ask Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) to guide us to him (عز وجل) and to keep us on the right way to Allah (عز وجل) until we meet Allah (عز وجل).
 
And to make us happy with what Allah is happy with in this Dunia, make us happy with what Allah can be happy with us in this Dunia.
 
And make us always with the gatherings where Allah's name is mentioned, and with Islam is been mentioned. And how can we be a part of the Ummah, to improve the Ummah to the best of our ability.
