To pray to you, just for material desires and comfort, my Lord, is like going to a gracious king and asking for just a few vegetables in return.

When you - the source of life, knowledge, bliss and love - are ready to offer yourself, why should anyone in their right mind even ask you for anything else?

Till a child plays with his toys, even his mother wouldn't go to him. Only when the child gives up the toys and cries for his mother, the mother comes. So, dear devotees, if you really want God, you must give up passion for worldly things and cry solely for Him.

A devotee should establish the idea of 'mine-ness' with God only and see everything else as 'not mine'.

Thereby, dealing with everything else in the world normally but dispassionately, while internally retaining passion for God all the time.

Like how an actor plays his allotted roles normally without forgetting his real identity, a devotee must do all his worldly duties playfully without forgetting God.
