☘️ Agree / Disagree

Q: School children are becoming far too dependent on computers. This is having an alarming effect on reading and writing skills. Teachers need to avoid using computers in the classroom at all costs and go back to teaching basic study skills.
Do you agree or disagree?

💡 Answer:

Nowadays, modern technology has totally changed our approach to study. In many countries, students no longer have to copy notes by hand from the board; instead the teacher gives them a photocopy or an electronic one. Rather than messy ink and pen, students also present a typed-up copy of their assignments. Their computer even checks their spellings as they go. In fact, some people believe that modern technology does a lot of our thinking for us and, as a result, we are losing our ability to think for ourselves.

In my opinion, spelling skills have definitely deteriorated in recent years. So many young people use mobile phones to send text messages where speed and conciseness are more important than spelling or grammar. Some teachers complain that these students take the same attitude toward their written assignments.

On the other hand, typed assignments are much easier to read and much neater. Frankly, I find some notes or tests which are often handwritten almost impossible to read. Doctors, for example, have often had a reputation for illegible handwriting which could lead to disastrous medical mistakes. Perhaps it is time we focused not on handwriting but presenting information as accurately as possible.

Another advantage of computers is that access to the internet has opened up a world of learning to us. We no longer have to wait for a book that has already been borrowed from the library before we can do our research. In fact, the internet can clearly be used to research information in the same way as a library but more conveniently.

On the whole, rather than holding students back, I believe modern technology has actually improved standards of education considerably.

Describe a restaurant that you like to visit.
📌You should say.

Where this restaurants
what kind of food it serves
how often you go there and say why you like eating there so much.

Well, this is a nice topic to talk about. there's a restaurant just around the corner from where I live. it's a Korean restaurant so as you'd expect you can eat various pasta dishes and sushi and I usually go there with my family for a slap-up meal if we have anything to celebrate such as birthday or anniversary. it's quite a posh restaurant. It is the kind of place you would take someone if you wanted to wine and dine them. We usually order a 3-course meal a light starter then a main dish, and I have quite a sweet tooth. It's not cheap, so sometimes, my parents always foot the bill and we couldn't afford to go there regularly. However its food and service is very good. It is like a palace, because it was decoreted many kinds of patterns. It always a nice treat so I always look forward to the dessert.

Describe a house or an apartment you would like to live in.

📌You should say.

✔️what kind of accommodation it would be?
✔️where it would be who would live there with you and say why you would enjoy living in this place.

☑️I think most people when answering this question would say they'd like to live in a big detached house with spacious rooms which you can see views of the countryside or ocean and breath fresh air, but actually my ideal home would be a lot different. I have always loved the idea of having a mobile home. It is a really expensive one with all the mod cons, so I could live wherever I wanted or at least have lots of holidays and be able to take all my home comforts with me whenever I travelled. I realise this would have to be a second home as I'd need a base. The mobile home would be the accommodation I'd find it exciting to live in. I suppose once l want to settle down and have children I'll have to get on the property ladder. I'll be like everyone else, and then saving up to put down a deposit on a house or an apartment. I don't think my family would want to live in a mobile home, but I like to think I'll still keep that dream home in mind.
