The confrontation of the President of Colombia with Trump is starting to take its toll

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced a short time ago economic sanctions against the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, his family members, and associates due to his involvement in drug trafficking.

The sanctions pertain to Petro's assets and financial dealings with him—he has been added to OFAC's "blocked list".

Commentary:
The administrative committee for managing the Strip / the "technocrats committee" is a tool in the hands of Hamas to show the world that it has indeed relinquished power as promised, but in reality, the situation is completely different.
Any such committee that is established before Hamas has disarmed is meaningless and even dangerous – because it will be fully controlled by Hamas behind the scenes.

The very fact that Hamas is interested in accelerating the process of "transferring power" to that committee only shows that Hamas sees it as a positive thing from its perspective – a tool to deceive the world.

The moment such a committee is established (which Hamas will hold by force of arms behind the scenes), Hamas’s partners – Qatar, Turkey, and others – will increase the pressure on Israel to fulfill its part in the ceasefire and withdraw – because supposedly Hamas has relinquished power as promised.
This is a point that must be prepared for in advance.
Expose the bluff now.
There is no value to a technocrats committee in the Strip as long as Hamas has not disarmed. It’s a show. In such a case, Hamas will continue to control the Strip through a puppet government.

Yesterday evening marked 4 days since the last time Hamas handed over bodies of Israeli hostages.

Hamas is stalling for time even though it could have handed over additional bodies in its possession.
