With #Mapflow #Custom you can start running combo pipelines featuring all ready to use Mapflow AI models. It might be useful to run mapping for topo plans creation and to optimize your time and costs for the data processing.

Currently, combo pipelines are available by request - so don't hesitate to contact us if you want to try it with Mapflow and let us know what you think.
Congratulations to all our Indian fellows, users, and partners on the successful touchdown of the Chandrayaan 3 mission! The big news of the past week for all those who are related to and feel compassion for the Space exploration missions.
It's amazing how the Moon remote sensing satellite of the previous mission captures the Lander of the new one.
Yet to the beauty of names... The "Chandra" is connected to the Indian god of the moon, Moon chariot.

The initially extracted roads mask looks like this. Then it's transformed into centrelines with fixed buffers to look more pretty.
With #Mapflow #Custom you can choose whether to get polygons or lines - in case you need to customize the buffer depending on the width of the road, or to classify the land area covered by roads more accurately.
This Greece wildfire is claimed the largest recorded in the EU (the records started in 2000). The #fire was burning for two weeks as of 29 Aug in Terra / Modis satellite image.
"Image data type must be [uint8]..."

Have you come across such a warning message while uploading your data to #Mapflow AI models? Well, probably no more!
We released the in-service image preprocessing which allows you to upload images of any data type. All default model workflows have been updated.

If you are a professional Earth observation user you ight know that when it comes to commercial imagery ordering, the raw data is usually supplied in uint16 as it provides a broader range of brightness values to interpret the image. So with the new release, you can start processing images of this type without any manipulations.

The image preprocessing step takes care of the brightness adjustment and contrast enhancement, but it may not be perfect for your particular image, so use it with caution. If you are not satisfied with the automatic image translation, you might look into the manual adjustment and save your image in uint8 (see our user guide in the platform's docs).

Upload your images and contact us at [email protected] if you still need any assistance to process them.
Visiting Lorret's office - the manufacturer of the #EarthObservation ground receiving stations as they design and produce engineering kits, "space copters" and light stations for educational purposes. Here in the background is the new station equipped with a 3.7m reflector which is designed for LEO satellites with X-band transmition of the greater data volume for high-resolution and SAR imagery acquisition. #community
Mapflow.ai processing statistics for August. Sometimes you know it has a marked geographical bias
Mapflow.ai is a platform for geospatial imagery processing and digital mapping on a large scale. So most of our commercial cases are related to the wide areas and extensive data updates.

In case you have many areas of interest to process or update, it can be boring to upload them one by one using Web or GIS user tools. In this case, you’d better think about using Mapflow Processing API.

In the following example let’s assume we have multiple polygons indicating the settlement borders where we want to extract features like “buildings” with the AI model.

Check out this userguide

✍️ BTW, we are preparing to release Mapflow python SDK, so stay tuned for more updates and let us know how it’s useful for your projects.

❗️Following the news of the devastating #earthquake in Morocco that occurred on Sep 8 (the death toll surpasses 2,000 according to the officials) - due to some reason there is no data for this country in the open buildings datasets neither in Google Open buildings nor in MS buildings.

As it may be helpful to someone, who is conducting research about the affected areas at this particular moment, we published building footprints for the Marrakesh area which was mostly affected. The dataset contains 170+K building footprints. Let's look forward to updating it based on the open satellite imagery published by satellite operating companies.

Download from the #Emergency Mapping repo And as usual, if you are helping in volunteer mapping and find it useful – we encourage you to contact us about leveraging Mapflow AI to assist in your efforts mapping.

👀 We are looking for a Geospatial analyst intern who is passionate about maps and data and wants to elaborate on the application of #AI technologies and #EarthObservation to the mapping in emergency situations and natural disasters.
Being a small company we stick to the product dev / commercial cases, yet we are keen on contributing to humanitarian initiatives to help other researchers and early responders. If you are interested in helping others with the adoption of #EmergencyMapping technologies and developing your skills in this field, we encourage you to contact us.
