Things I am leaving behind:

→ Waking up at 5 am.
Turns out I’m not the waking up before the sun type. Not everyone is the same, I start my day when I feel the most productive.

→ Eating sugar.
I’m trying to be a healthier version of myself. I still let myself enjoy one not-so-healthy meal a day, but you’ll rarely see sugar on my plate anymore.

→ Attending meetings I’m not needed in.
If I’m sitting in a call giving zero input, I leave. It saves everyone time, including me.

→ Skipping workouts while travelling.
I find ways to squeeze in my daily workouts even when I’m travelling to stay consistent with the whole “trying to be healthier” thing.

Two people in my team do the same work.

But their working styles are completely different.

One of them talks to everyone in the office, plays music all day long, leaves on time, and prioritises life outside work equally.

The other one spends hours in the office, glued to her laptop. Her work comes first, and then life happens outside.

The surprising thing is that they are both great at what they do. Their results speak for them.

A lot of times, I have seen people praising employees who spend hours in front of their laptops.

The way of working shouldn’t be the focus.

All that should matter in the end is the output.

Whether someone works 4 hours or 14, what counts is the impact they create.

Everyone is not the same, different people thrive in different environments.

Remember that next time before you start judging.

We all have those random little rituals.

The ones we have to do, even if no one else gets it.

Yep, we also have a few of our own and follow them no matter what.

One such ritual is that the whole team eats together whenever we go out to shoot a podcast after the wrap-up.

What you see is around 1.5 hours of the shoot, but shooting the whole thing takes a whole day.

People reach the office way earlier than usual, pack up the equipment, do the whole setup, have last-minute discussions with me, and then stay till everything has gone by smoothly.

They are there for everything, from helping calm my nerves to figuring out where to put the chairs.

So, once the podcast is done, we get to celebrate as a team.

Yes, we have shot so many of these that we are used to it now, but that doesn’t mean stuff happens magically.

We still put in the grind to make the best out of every episode.

And for that, the team deserves a little celebration here and there.
