فلسفه مخالفت مشاوران ترامپ با مهاجرت قانونی این است که مهاجران حاضرند مشاغل با دستمزد پایین‌تر را بپذیرند و اگر پرداخت بالاتر باشد کارگران آمریکایی آن مشاغل را می‌پذیرند.
