قال رسولُ اللهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم:
اغتنِمْ خمسًا قبل خمسٍ:
شبابَك قبل هَرَمِك،
وصِحَّتَك قبل سَقَمِك،
وغناك قبل فقرِك،
وفراغَك قبل شُغلِك،
وحياتَك قبل موتِك.

Hz. Peygamberimiz (s.a.s.) şöyle buyurdu: “Beş şey gelmezden önce beş şeyin kıymetini iyi biliniz!
1. İhtiyarlıktan önce gençliğin,
2. Hastalıktan önce sağlığın,
3. Meşguliyetten önce boş vaktin,
4. Fakirlikten önce zenginliğin,
5. Ölümden önce hayatın kıymetini” [4]

The Mufassir Shaykh Sayyid Abd Allah Qaratgayi passed away today in Irbil, iraq. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
He is an esteemed scholar, though more known for his humility, gentleness and asceticism.

When I was returning from Hajj a couple of years ago - I was queuing in the airport so I could put my luggage and Zam Zam water through, and I had just got a pen to write my name on the bottles of water. An elderly Pakistani man who was working at the airport suddenly approached me and asked, 'What's your name?' I replied, 'Mohammed Aslam'. He got really emotional and said, 'Don't write Muhammad on the boxes. Just write Aslam. I don't want the beautiful name of Muhammad to touch the floor or to be thrown about during transportation.' That really touched my soul and filled my heart with awe.....

I know people in the UK who named their children Muhammad and wouldn't call their own kids by that name without wudhu. I know others who named their sons Muhammad but never used that name when shouting at their kids or disciplining them - out of fear of disrespecting the name. This religion is nothing but adab. This ummah has always been defined by its veneration and love for the Prophet ﷺ. A man without respect and humility has not truly achieved the realities of manhood, knowledge or piety - no matter how much they've studied. The elder generation would find it difficult to throw date seeds from the Hijaz into the bin. You ask them why? They will reply, 'It grew in the land of Rasūlallāh ﷺ.' They may seem like simple people but their hearts are treasures of adab. Those who lower themselves before the Prophet ﷺ out of admiration and respect are raised by Allah in both worlds.

Brother Muheiddine Dean Makkaoui was one of the purest and hardest working souls for his community and all New Jerseyans. His relentless focus was always on trying to unite diverse Muslim communities together so that they can achieve common goals. He was always a supporter of political engagement and education. His name literally means the Reviver of Faith or One who gives Life to the Faith. My last talk with him before he was admitted to the hospital was about registering new Muslim voters for the next election.

His legacy will always be the amazing work that he accomplished and the foundation he laid for others. His legacy will continue in the inspiration he gave me to serve my community & ummah. His legacy will continue through his amazing seven children whom I love like brothers and sisters. I ask Allah to give his family the patience and relief from this calamity. I ask that Allah accepts him among the righteous and prophets.

Today we went to see the Buqayawiya Tree, under which the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sat as a young boy before meeting Bahira the Monk.
It has been narrated that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was a boy when he was traveling with his uncle Sayyiduna Abu Talib towards Syria. A Christian monk at that time whose name was Bahira read in old scriptures that the last Messenger of God would be welcomed by the Buqayawiya tree. He would therefore wait for people who were taking shelter under the tree and look for signs, yet could find no sign in anyone.
One day, he saw a caravan coming who took shelter under the tree. The Christian monk, Bahira felt that the tree recognized the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as it bent its branches to provide shelter from the heat. At the same time he also saw that there was a cloud of protection over the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

On noticing this, Bahira approached Sayyiduna Abu Talib and asked him to take good care of his nephew as he ﷺ is the one who would bring blessing and guidance to the people and the whole of mankind.

الشجرة المباركة

هي الشجرة التي استظل تحتها الحبيب - ﷺ - في وادي الأردن وهو ذاهب في رحلته إلى الشام، والتقى عندها ببحيرا الراهب ، باقية إلى يومنا هذا، لا شجرة سواها في صحراء قاحلة وهي خضراء.
ولقد قام فريق من علماء الطاقة بدراسة حولها، فوجدوا أنّ لها طاقة نورانية هائلة.. وما ذلك إلّا لنورانية الجناب الشريف، ولشدّة تعلّق هذه الشّجرة به ﷺ .
ولقد جاء في السير أنه لما جلس القوم تحت ظلها، ثم جاء الحبيب فلم يجد مكانا فجلس في جهة الشمس، فأدارت ظلها نحوه ﷺ
