Emebet Mehabaw is Ethiopia’s first astronaut candidate selected by Titans Space Industries and a certified analog astronaut from the Mars-Moon Astronautics Academy & Research Science (MMAARS). She is an aerospace engineer, National Point of Contact for SGAC Ethiopia, and Ambassador for the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC). A recipient of the African Space Leaders Award 2024 and the IAF Emerging Space Leaders Award 2025, Emebet leads satellite and communication projects, and actively contributes to lunar and future Mars mission initiatives. Through her work, she is shaping Ethiopia's and Africa’s space future and inspiring the next generation of explorers.
