It's springtime now and much of the country is covered in blooming daisies. Nowhere is this more striking than the #Derba_Waterfall and valley where the fields are covered in yellow and all the streams band together to create the amazing waterfall. #Outdoor_Ethiopia recently took part in a week-long promotional tour of #Ilubabor at the invitation of #Bifle_Promotion - a private company working to promote tourism in #Ilubabor and the wider region.
#Ilubabor has always been known as the greenest of Oromia's zones and one of the most biodiverse areas in Ethiopia. And something roundly agreed upon by the participants of the trip is how especially welcoming the people of llubabor are. From #Doggii in #Yayo to #Hurrumu and #Metu, we were welcomed, embraced, hugged and kissed by locals who valued our mere presence. Ilu, we learned, is all about love and this was the resounding theme of the whole trip.
In the coming days, we will be publishing some of the most exquisite images captured by our photographers. Stay tuned!

Few spots left for tomorrow's hike to #Derba_Waterfall. Don't miss it.
Dear Outdoor lovers, thank you for planning your weekend to hike # with us. Here are some tips for our tomorrow's trip to #Derba_Waterfall.
1. Be on time. Meeting time is 7:00 AM (1:00 LT) at Piassa (Taitu Hotel).
2. Bring your #ID card or passport.
3. #Hiking_Backpacks: pack extra food (like #snacks or #energy_drinks and #extra_cash for services not included in the package.
4. The lunch is #traditional agelgil, but if you prefer foreign dishes, please remember to #pack your #own lunch.
5. #Dress_in_layers: Sunday's weather forecast for the destination is mostly #cloudy, so you should dress accordingly. It is advisable to have a #rain_jacket, an #umbrella or a #hat.
6. Wear comfortable, #grippy_shoes.
7. Leave No Trace Behind: Donβt litter or throw any kind of trash away at the hiking site.
8. Donβt leave the official trail.
9. Take your own photos, and #mention @OutdoorEthiopia on your posts.
10. Hike at a comfortable pace and enjoy the outdoors. π£
11. Don't forget to share your experience & #socialize.
