Dear Outdoor lovers, thank you for planning your weekend to #cruise Lake #Dembel with us. Here are some tips to remember to enjoy your trip and have a memorable adventure.
1. Be on time. Meeting time is 6:00 AM (12:00 LT) at Wabe Shebele Hotel (Mexico).
2. Bring your #ID card or passport. This is a must as there might be checkpoints on the way to our destination.
3. #Your_Hiking_Backpacs: Pack swimming suits, extra food (like #snacks or #energy_drinks and #extra_cash for services not included in the package.
4. The lunch is #traditional agelgil, but if you prefer foreign dishes, please remember to #pack your #own lunch.
5. #Dress_Light: Wear light clothes and pack a #rain_jacket, an #umbrella or a #hat. It's spring, but it might still rain.
6. Wear comfortable, grippy shoes and make sure they're not too tight on your feet.
7. Leave No Trace Behind: Donβt litter or throw any kind of trash away at the hiking site. Collect all trash in a plastic bag and dispense of it at appropriate sites.
8. Donβt leave the official trail. Follow the guides and make sure not to stray out of sight when you take photographs.
9. Take your own photos, and #mention @OutdoorEthiopia on your posts.
10. Hike at a comfortable pace and enjoy the outdoors. π£
11. Don't forget to share your experience & #socialize. Hiking is as much about connecting with people as it is about being in nature. Talk to people - everyone is friendly on a hike.

Dear Outdoor lovers,
The trip to #Lake_Dembel was a wholesome experience from the amazing people we got to travel with to some of the best hiking and traveling experiences one can hope for - all packed in a single day.
πStarting out, we enjoyed #strawberry_juice blended from the freshest berries straight from the farm.
πStarting from Meki, our main mode of transport was a motorboat, in which we cruised π£π½for a total of 4 hours until we reached Batu (Ziway) town.
ππΏββοΈAt #Tullu_Guddo, in the middle of Lake Dembel, we swam and splashed in the water. Some of us even took a dip in the hot spring by the lake, after which we saw freshly caught fish by local fishermen.
π¦©We cruised past the popularly named "#Birds'_Island" where we saw more than 15 different species of birds - breeding, living and flying off.
πIn Batu (Ziway) we savored the freshest #fish roasted to perfection. After that we were warmly received by the owners of the #Castel_Wine Bar, where we #tasted high quality wine brews and got to #dance with locals to some popular hits.
We hope you all enjoyed these experiences as much as we did.
We would like to thank the manager of the Castel Wine Bar, Mr. Dawit, for his generosity and the splendid welcome we received! The place he manages is a destination on its own right and we urge you to go check it out.
Finally, we would like to thank you - our Outdoor family - for giving us yet another amazing travel experience. Please stay tuned in for your next adventure!
πPlease #mention @OutdoorEthiopia on your social media posts. (Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/outdoorethiopia/)

πPictures π taken by our photographer will be posted on @outdoorgallery shortly - make sure to follow that channel.
Stay tuned and keep the #adventure alive.

Nature shows off in #Ilubabor! With its mighty rivers like #Sor, Gebba, Dhidhesa & the endless rainforest, this is where nature exhibits how dominant it can be. At Ilike on the way to Supe & at Sor close to the town of Becho, these rivers cascade and hurtle into gorges and over mountainsides, forming mighty waterfalls that roar their triumph for eternity.
But nature in Ilubabor is not just about sheer size & mightiness; it is also about calm and tranquility. Lying at a very comfortable highland elevation, most of Ilubabor is unbelievably green & at just the right conditions for people to enjoy the outdoors everyday of every year.It doesn't get hot or cold, neither is it ever too dry. Ilubabor, from Supe to Gore to Becho, Yayyo & Hurrumu, is just perfect. It is perfect for agriculture, perfect to conduct commerce in, & perfect for tourism.
But most importantly, of all places on Earth inhabited by humans, Ilubabor absolutely takes the crown as the best place to live in.

When the sun is low in the sky, Lake Dembel calls forth the people of Batu (Ziway) with a calming sea breeze to delight in its abundance of fresh fish. From exquisitely tasty varieties the size of one's palm to rich meaty ones, the lake has it all. When everyone's gathered at twilight, the lake's gift is turned into tasty dishes of the healthiest meat by artisanal cooks who give you one more reason to never skip this town on your next excursion. Come, let's revel in the abundance of nature with @OutdoorEthiopia.
