The few hours one spends aboard a simple boat in the middle of a vast body of water like Lake Dembel are therapeutic to a mind used to the bustle of city life. The water, the occasional birds swooping down to catch fish, the breeze blowing the gentlest of waves give one a sense of calm and tranquility. That is, if you can get your sea legs under you quickly.

#Mountain_hiking adventure to #Dinbaro (Gemasa Gorge).
Dinbaro lies at the very top of the Shoa highlands. Up there, the wind is magnificent, the air crisp, and the grass otherworldly. But what Dinbaro offers is a feast to the eyes in the form of vast gorges and valleys all the way down to Afar region. Dinbaro humbles and it makes a point of leaving you speechless when you first ses it.

Birds like the Sacred Ibis, Pelicans, the African Darter and Marabou Stork are abundant at #Lake_Dembel(Ziway Lake). They come in all shapes and sizes with some endemic to the lake while others migrate there from places as far away as Europe and Asia. At the shores of the lake and the many islands dotted across it, these birds swim, fly, dive, and takeoff in pursuit of meal and mates. With their long beaks and neck pouches full of fish, the avians are a sight to behold at the lake that is more theirs than ours.

#ደምበል_ሃይቅ (ዝዋይ ሃይቅ)
ደምበል ሃይቅ ከ አ.አ 163 ኪሜ ርቀት በሰሜናዊው ስምጥ ሸለቆ ከሚገኙ ሃይቆች ውስጥ 500 ስኩዌር ኪ.ሜ ስፋት በመያዝ ትልቁ ሲሆን በውስጡ 5 ደሌቶች (ገሊላ፣ደ/ሲና፣ፉንድሮ(ጌቴሴማኒ)፣ጠዴቻ(ደ/አብርሃም) እና ቱሉ ጉዶ(ደብረ ፂዮን) ይዞ ይገኛል።
ከነዚህ ውስጥም ቱሉ ጉዶ ትልቁ ደሴት ሲሆን እዚህ ደሴት ላይ ታቦተ ፂዮን ለ 70 አመታት ተቀምጣበት እንደነበረ ቦታው ላይ ያሉ ብዙ መረጃዎች አሁንም ድረስ ምስክሮች ናቸው።
ሌላኛው የሃይቁ ውበት ከአምስቱ ደሴት በተጨማሪ የወፍ ደሴት (birds island )ተብሎ የሚጠራው ወፎች ብቻ የሚኖሩበት ስፍራ ነው።
የወፍ ደሴት ላይ ከ 15 በላይ የሆኑ የወፍ ዝርያዎች ሲኖሩ pelicane፣ African darter፣ marboue stork፣ sacred ibis ቦታው ላይ በብዛት ከምናገኛቸው አዕዋፍት ውስጥ ጥቂቶቹ ናቸው።
ከዚህ በተጨማሪ አርጃኖ እና ጉማሬ በዚህ ሃይቅ ላይ ልናገኛቸው ምንችላቸው እንስሶች ነው፡፡
በተጨማሪሞም ከሃይቅ ጉብኝት በሁዋላ በሃይቁ ዳርቻ ያለው የአሳ ገበያ ትኩስና ጣፋጭ አሳዎችን መመገብ እንዲሁም የሃይቁ ዳር ላይ አዕዋፍቱን አሳ ማብላት ጉዟችሁን አይረሴ እና ተናፋቂ ከሚያደርጉት ውስጥ ናቸው፡፡
የደምበል(የዝዋይ ሃይቅ) ለጀልባ ጉዞ፣ ባህልን መመልከት ለሚወዱ፣ታሪክን ማወቅ ለሚፈልጉ፣ ለወፍ ጎብኚዎች እና ሃይኪንግ ለሚወዱ ሰዎች እጅግ ተመራጭ ድንቅ መዳረሻ ነው::
