I don't know who needs to hear this today, but...

Do not lend money or stand in as a guarantor for someone's loan unless you can afford to or you're (really)^(really) sure they are going to pay you back on time.

Either say you won't or give and or consider it as a donation toward a (lost) cause.

I cannot tell you the number of people I have seen around me struggling to get the lent amount back.

Don’t let friendship, blood relations or nostalgia take over your common sense. High chances that these same people might turn back and gaslight you into thinking you're the one wronging/harassing them by asking them to return your money. Remember, they've got nothing to lose T_T

Never, I repeat, never give out your money for high rates of interest. I've seen some people hand over their life savings to these "borrowers" because their judgement got clouded over lure of higher returns than from an FD or the stock market, but more often than not it often ended in situations where the borrower stops paying the interest after a point and refuses to return the principal as well.

Save your sanity and lend to only people you trust, people you know have the ethics to pay you back whatever it takes.

PS: not talking about serious medical or other emergencies where someone might need to arrange money urgently

tldr: gentle reminder not to lend money or stand in as a guarantor for someone else's loan unless you can afford to

Why do we not have water based adventure sports like boating in our rivers?

We have more than 44 rivers I'm Keralam but apart from a few kayaking points here and there we don't find any water tourism in the region. Is it because of some legal restrictions or safety issues?
