Emotions will come in your life and go. They are temporary and do not define who you are.

Regret is as painful as it is common; however, it can also be a positive force, depending on how we respond to it. It can shackle us to the past, or it can serve as an engine for change.

Letting go of some beliefs, thoughts is tough but they are acting like these walls. Restricting you and your growth as a person.

Let one thought go everyday... And see how free you feel.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006) is a dramatic story of a dysfunctional family which embarks on a road trip. It is full of struggles of a family that is invested in making the dream of a child come true.

In UPSC exam, we often face similar emotional battles—pressure to succeed, fear of failure, and many many moments of self-doubt. This film reminded me of three things that we should keep in mind during our UPSC journey, that temporary setbacks don’t define us; true success comes from perseverance; and more importantly, we always have someone to stand by us in all adversity.

These are two reports mentioning mental health concerns of civil servants in two different countries.

In India as well, some conversations on these lines have begun.

We can start taking care of our mental health from the aspirant life itself. This includes being aware and cognizant about our mental health status and taking required help to address the concerns.

How do I know if my boundary is violated?

Boundary violations can manifest in various ways. Common signs include feeling uncomfortable or uneasy, experiencing guilt or shame for setting a boundary, feeling controlled or manipulated, feeling resentful, and experiencing distress.

Try to recognise these signs.

Impact of poor boundary setting may not be as simple as you being not able to study, or time waste but it can actually hamper your immunity or affect your body.
