Planning to move to Russia? It’s important to understand the two main types of registration for foreigners:
1) Permanent Registration (Residence Registration)
– Only available for those with a residence permit (PR) or temporary residence permit (TRP)
– Allows you to live permanently at a specific address
– Usually valid for the same period as your TRP
– Requires the presence and consent of all property owners for registration
2) Migration Registration (Temporary Stay Notification)
– Required every time you temporarily live somewhere new — a hotel, rental apartment, or another city
– Can be done with a visa, PR, or TRP
– Valid for the length of your stay at the new address
– Filed by the property owner or your host
💡The key difference:

Планируете переезд в Россию? Важно понимать два разных типа учета:
1. Регистрация по месту жительства
— Оформляется только тем, у кого есть ВНЖ или РВП
— Позволяет постоянно жить в конкретной квартире или доме
— Обычно даётся на срок действия РВП
— Для оформления нужен собственник жилья и согласие всех владельцев

Today in Nizhny Novgorod, OKA Agency organized a special event — we introduced our friends, new residents, to Metropolitan Georgy. The meeting was sincerely warm and heartfelt, marked by open conversation, shared values, and a sense of spiritual connection.
For many, Russia is becoming a new home — a place where people can speak freely about their faith and truly be heard. We are proud to create an environment where such meaningful and genuine encounters are possible.
We also explored Nizhny Novgorod’s spiritual landmarks together and dived into their beauty and history.
Thank you to everyone who joined us! Support, respect for values, and mutual understanding are essential steps towards successful integration.
