The most painful thing about returning back to India are the memories.

When I sit my chair think about my journey it feels so painful.

\> Preparing for GRE.
\> Taking the exam. Realizing I got a 320+ score.
\> Applying to US universities. Getting an Admit. Getting a second admit.
\> Landing in US for the first time. Being awestruck by how beautiful America is.
\> 2nd semester getting an interview call with a bank in New York.
\> Getting to New York for the first time in my life.
\> Getting hosted in a hotel in Midtown New York. Sitting in chair all night long in the hotel room looking at New York through the window. Getting the Internship offer. Getting a full time offer at the end of the internship.
\> Traveling to New York every day that summer.
\> Walking in the downtown area/time square after work. Random musicians and artists play music in subway stations.
\> Spent the night of July 4th that summer on Brooklyn bridge watching fireworks.
\> Going to New Hampshire and Maine with friends after the Internship. Feeling so relaxed now that I have a job offer. I felt so peaceful in Maine.
\> Securing a second full time offer in 3rd semester with a dream company with a 50% higher salary.
\> Visiting MET/Moma/Natural history Museum in New York every single weekend. I love museums.
\> Waiting two years to get my H1b. The relief after getting the H1b.
\> Waiting another 2 years to get my i140 done.
\> Going on a vacation to Europe to celebrate.
\> Sitting by myself on a boat on Thames river and thinking that this kind of happiness will last me forever.
\> Crossing million dollars in net worth.

\> And then noticing on video calls that mom is being very lethargic. She is barely able to stay awake.
\> Getting calls from my dad that mom is in hospital. 2 months later again she is hospitalized. 2 months later she is again hospitalized.
\> At this point I quit my job and rushed back to India. Fearing that this might be her last few years.

8 months later. I am jobless. Sitting in my chair thinking about life. All I have now are memories of US.
Most of the days I don't even feel like getting up from my bed.

The last 3 hours in America are burned into my memory. Clearing out my apartment. Handing over the keys. Waiting in the lobby. The bus ride to the train station. That really beautiful train station in Seattle. The train ride to the airport. Waiting for my plane. Istanbul Airport. New Delhi airport. Hyderabad airport. The whole scene plays in a loop in my head.

10 years in the US, it felt like I have left my home.

What people do in Metro-Few Observations

1-Open Stock market apps see the market levels.

2-Watch YouTube videos & OTTs.

3-Few Attends some classes.

4-Few just laughs themselves.

5-Plays Sudoku.

6-On Call entire journey

7-Few Open Teams and joins the call giving updates.

8-Few open laptops and works.

9-Open Whatsapp and Ig groups

I rarely see people speak with each other for me the entire journey looks boring and irritating.

Yeah I watch people .... Everyone seems so busy with their own lives — or maybe they’ve just made their lives too busy.

For me after having so many people surrounded by like 50-minute of travel none of them speaks.

Recent Robbery in My PG

A day back we had a robbery in our PG and it was between 4:30 AM to 5:00 AM. There were thieves in two autos and a guy could catch them only in 4th floor of the building. By then they have looted phones and laptops from all the rooms in previous floors which weren’t locked from inside. (Ofcourse we got them all back, as thieves returned all the phones and laptops in fear or some other reason that couldn’t be pointed out). Even though we caught them we couldn’t do anything as they had knives and threatened us (before giving mobiles back).

Guys staying in PGs kindly be careful at nights and lock your doors from inside always. Even if someone from your room is going for a shift during early morning or late nights, wakeup and lock the doors from inside!
