📌Laylatul Qadr is likely to be on last EVEN nights if the month of Ramadaan happens to be of 30 days - A must read!
🎓Shaikhul Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله states (after being asked about Lailatul Qadr):
” Alhamdullillah lailatul Qadr is in the last ten nights of the month of ramadhān, this is how it has authentically occurred from the messenger – (ﷺ ) that he said:
“It is in the last ten days of Ramadhān”
and it is in the odd nights.
The odd nights though, are viewed in respect to that which has passed (from the month), thus one seeks out the 21st and the 23rd and the 25th and the 27th and the 29th.
It is also sought from a point of view of what remains (from the month). Just as the Prophet – Sallallahu alaihi Was salam said (In the Hadīth of Abu Bakarah – Radhiyallahu anhu):
“(seek it) on the ninth of the nights remaining of ramadhān, the seventh of the nights remaining of Ramadhān, the fifth of the nights remaining of ramadhān, the third of the nights remaining of ramadhān”
(Collected by Imaam Abu Dawood At Tayālisi (922 – Turki print) and tirmidhi and declared ‘Sahīh bu Shaikh Nāsir in Sahīh Sunan At Tirmidhi (636))
Based upon this, if it is a 30 day month, then that will occur on even nights, and the 22nd night will be the 9th of the nights remaining from ramadhān, the 24th will be the 7th of the nights remaining from ramadhān (and so on). This is how Abu Sa’īd Al Khudhri explained it in an authentic hadīth. And thus the Prophet (ﷺ ) established the month in this way.
If (however) the month is of 29 days, (as lunar months often are) then the remaining days (as it relates to them falling on odd or even nights) will be the same as the past days (meaning whichever way one looks at it on a 29 day month, the odd nights in respect to looking at the month from the beginning will start from the 21st and considering the second hadīth, counting down, the ninth night will also fall on the 21st and eight will be on the 22nd and so on)
📌Therefore if this is the case it is befitting that the believer seeks it out in all of the (nights of the) last ten..”

Thus according to this last hadīth and explanation of Shaikhul Islām, it is as though one is counting the last nine nights down from the 22nd in a 30 day month or the 21st in a 29 day month.

A Series of Reminders About The Month of Ramaḍān - No. 19
Khutbah just before the last ten days of Ramadan.
Sheikh 'Abd al-Rahman al-Sa'di prepared a khutbah to be delivered right before the last ten days of Ramadan in which he wrote:
[فمن لم يربح في هذا الشهر فبأي شهر يربح ؟ ومن لم يزل قاعداً عن الخيرات فمتى تحصل له الاستقامة ويفلح ؟ ومن لم يتب فيه إلى ومولاه ويتب من خطاياه فبأي وقت يُنيب ويصلح ؟ ـ]
"So whoever does not profit during this month, then in which other month would he profit?
And whoever remains idly sitting, refraining from good deeds, then when else would he achieve upright standing and succeed?
And whoever does not turn in repentance during this month to his Master and repent from his sins, then at what other time would he turn back and rectify himself?"

📌The meaning of Better than One Thousand Months: Tafsir al-Baghawi
➡️Imam al-Baghawi wrote the following in his commentary on this ayah:
In surah al-Qadr, Allah describes Laylah al-Qadr by saying:
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
Laylah al-Qadr is better than one thousand months [97:3]
Relaying from ibn ‘Abbaas, ‘Ataa’ said: The Messenger of Allah was told about a man from Banu Israa’eel who carried a sword on his shoulder in the path of Allah for one thousand months. So Allah’s Messenger was amazed by this and wished this for his ummah, saying, “O Lord, You made my ummah the shortest of nations in terms of lifespan and the least of them in terms of deeds?”
So then Allah gave him Laylah al-Qadr and said,
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
“Laylah al-Qadr is better than one thousand months
in which that man from Banu Israa’eel carried a sword in the path of Allah. It is for you and your ummah until the Day of Resurrection.”
The mufassiroon have said that the meaning of “Laylah al-Qadr is better than one thousand months” is that righteous deeds done during Laylah al-Qadr are better than the deeds of one thousand months which do not contain Laylah al-Qadr.

Two Types of People During Ramadan: Shaykh Sulayman al-Ruhayli حفظه الله
On the eve of the last ten nights of Ramadan, Shaykh Sulayman al-Ruhayli wrote:
في رمضان مرحوم ومحروم : المرحوم من سمع ياباغي الخير أقبل ، وأن لله عتقاء من النار في كل ليلة ، وأن أبواب الجنة تفتح ، وأن فيه ليلة خير من ألف شهر فتحرك قلبه ، ولان للصالحات جسده فصان صيامه وأحسن قيامه إيمانا واحتسابا واجتهد في طاعة مولاه ، وكلما نقص شهره زاد اجتهاده
In Ramadan there are some people who are granted mercy and some people who are in a state of deprivation.
Those granted mercy are those who hear:
• “O doer of good, proceed!”
• and that Allah frees people from the hellfire every night
• and that the doers of Jannah have been opened
• and that this month contains a night that is better than one thousand months
so all of this moves their hearts and prompts their bodies to do good deeds. Such a person guards his fast and strives in his night prayers, motivated both by his faith and anticipation of the reward, and he puts himself to work in obedience to his master. The shorter this month becomes, the more striving he performs.
والمحروم من سمع ذلك فلم يتحرك قلبه ولم يلن جسده ، ولم يغير من حاله فحُرم ، أو اجتهد في أول شهره ثم أصابه الفتور وترك الاجتهاد في الطاعات ، وأشد حرمانا منه من اشتغل في شهر الخيرات بالمحرمات ،فلم يجب ياباغي الخير أقبل ولا ياباغي الشر أقصر.ـ
Meanwhile, those in a state of deprivation are those who hear all of that but their hearts are not moved nor are their bodies motivated, so they do not make any changes to their normal way and thus miss out.
Or they strive in the first part of the month, but then loss their enthusiasm and consequently stop striving to do good deeds.
And an even worse type of deprivation is those who become preoccupied with forbidden things during this month of goodness. They don’t respond to the call of, “O doer of good, proceed! O doer of evil, desist!”
فيا أخي ويا أختاه من أي الفريقين أنت في شهر رمضان هذا العام ؟ إن كنت في دائرة المرحومين فاعلم أن الفضل لله ، واثبت ، وازدد اجتهادا في آخر شهرك ، وإن كانت الأخرى فبادر إلى إخراج نفسك من دائرة المحرومين إلى دائرة المرحومين وأبشر بالخير من الله
O brother and sister, which group do you fall into during the month of Ramadan this year? If you fall into the range of those granted mercy, then know that this is a blessing from Allah, be steadfast, and increase your efforts during the last part of the month.
And if you are in the other group, then rush to remove yourself from the deprived side of the spectrum to the granted-mercy side of the spectrum and receive glad tidings of good from Allah.

✨A Pro Tip to be among the Muqantireen in Laylatul Qadr
إن شاء الله ✨
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ رضي الله عنهما قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ( مَنْ قَامَ بِعَشْرِ آيَاتٍ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنْ الْغَافِلِينَ ، وَمَنْ قَامَ بِمِائَةِ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ مِنْ الْقَانِتِينَ ، وَمَنْ قَامَ بِأَلْفِ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ مِنْ الْمُقَنْطِرِينَ
) صححه الألباني في صحيح أبي داود
(1264)
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:
The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: "If anyone prays at night reciting regularly ten verses, he will not be recorded among the negligent; if anyone prays at night and recites a hundred verses, he will be recorded among those who are obedient to Allah; and if anyone prays at night reciting one thousand verses, he will be recorded among those who receive huge rewards."
Albani declared it as Saheeh in Saheeh Abee Dawood (1264)
💎Recite 29th Juzz and 30th Juzz in the night prayer (Qiyaam al Layl) which altogether make almost 1000 Aayaat!
📌These last 10 nights are a great opportunity to earn such great rewards بإذن الله!
May Allaah SubhaanaHu wa Ta'ala Bless us all the blessings and bounties of Laylatul Qadr!

➡️The Signs of Laylatul-Qadr
Question: What are the signs of Laylatul-Qadr (the night of decree)?
🎓Shakyh Ibn al-‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله :
From amongst the signs of Laylatul-Qadr is that
it is a calm night (neither too hot nor too cold)* and
the believer’s heart is delighted and at peace with it, and
he becomes active in doing good actions, and
the sun on the following morning rises clearly without any rays (red and weak)*.
