Stone pillars at Crawley Lake.

These unusual geological forms came into being 760,000 years ago after a volcanic eruption. Hot volcanic ash caused the snows that covered the area to melt. Cold meltwater seeped through the underlying layers of volcanic ash, 'cutting' long passages through them. This 'union' produced mineral compounds which resemble cement in their chemical properties.

Then the human factor indirectly intervened. In fact, Lake Crawley is not a lake. In fact it is a reservoir, the bottom of which was dry land until 1941. After Long Valley Dam was built, water started flowing in. This means that erosion processes have taken over.

Water and wind eroded the soft sedimentary rock, exposing the thousands of years of solid core that lurked within. And the inimitable natural architecture that has always fascinated witnesses is revealed.

How does a seahorse give birth?

In seahorses and pipefish, it is the male that gets pregnant and gives birth. Seahorse fathers incubate their developing embryos in a pouch located on their tail. The pouch is the equivalent of the uterus of female mammals. It contains a placenta, supporting the growth and development of baby seahorses.

๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ Indonesia, Kalyangrik village.
โ €
Perhaps one of the strangest places in the world is the village of Kalyangrik (Kaliangkrik), located in the Magelang region, Central Java.
โ €
It was nicknamed Nepal Van Java because the houses there are piled up on the mountain slopes, just like in a distant country in the Himalayas. If there is Everest in Nepal, then here is Sumbing, the third largest volcano on the island of Java, dormant, but by no means extinct, the village is located at its foot. The village lies at an altitude of 1620 meters above sea level.

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ด The owner of The World's Smallest Hotel believes his hotel is the tiniest on the planet, which he reflects in the name. The place is an old Volkswagen Beetle adapted as a sleeping room.

The room, which even accommodates a double bed, is cosily decorated with handmade blankets and pillows. And the highlight is the view of the Shobak fortress and the magnificent sunrises and sunsets.

The cost per night is $75 including traditional breakfast, lunch and tea.
