✞✞✞On this day we commemorate Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Lalibela (the Ethiopian Emperor), Saint Afomia/Euphemia, and Saint Bahran the Priest✞✞✞
✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞
✞✞✞ Saint Michael the Archangel✞✞✞
=>Saint Michael was appointed over the hosts of angels called Powers that are found in the Realm of Eyor (The 3rd Heaven - Shehaqim) at first. Then, when Satan defected, he was elevated by the Will of God, and for his humility and empathy over all the 99 Hosts of Angels.
✞From creation, after our Lady, there is none that is as honorable and kindhearted as St. Michael. He is an angel known for his intercession and aid. Manuscripts call him as “God’s council”, and as “whose name means compassionate”. And that is because he is an angel without resentment that hastens for aid and is kind.
✞And because he was a grace to all the saints of the Old Testament, aided and saved them as well, he was called “Megabi Beluy”/ “The Steward of the Old [Testament]”. He has also led and nourished Israel for 40 years in the desert. And Holy Scripture articulates much about him. (Gen.48:16, Josh. 5:13, Judg. 13:17, Dan.10:21/12:1, Ps.33 (34):7, Rev.12:7)
✞[In addition to that] the compassionate angel has a unique love for our Lady which is delighting. And from her mother’s womb up to now he is with her. He joyously obeys her. And when he wants to intercede, he says to her, “My Lady! Go before me!” Thus, they enter the fiery curtains together and bring down mercy together with blessing to the world.
✞We commemorate St. Michael for the following things on this day.
1. Because he was appointed over all the hosts of angels.
2. Because of the consecration of his church (in Egypt).
3. Because he helped St. Euphemia/Afomia.
4. Because he visited [to aid] St. Bahran.
5. Because he took up St. Lalibela to heaven.
6. Because it is the day on which he will beseech mercy for all creation.
✞May the Archangel keep us from all wickedness by his spiritual wings.
✞✞✞Saint Lalibela the Ethiopian Emperor✞✞✞
=>St. Lalibela who came to the throne [of Ethiopia] at the end of the 12th century
*was born after an annunciation by an angel.
*studied Holy Texts while he was just a kid.
*grew up praying, fasting, and in austerity though he was of royal lineage.
*did not hold any hatred in his heart when he was lashed by his brother.
*has drunk poison for the love of his friends.
*lived as an ascetic though he sat as the Emperor of Ethiopia.
*ate only once in a day with his holy wife, St. Masqal Kibra, and they ate not the better part of the “Injera” (an Ethiopian staple food - sour fermented flatbread) but its parched outer edges only.
✞The Saint has also seen many mysteries after he was taken to heaven.
*Then, he built in the likeness of what he saw Debre Roha (Lalibela - Lasta).
*The Rock-Hewn Churches [in Lalibela and elsewhere], which are to this day a mystery, were his handy works.
✞The Saint departed on this day after completing his works, living an austere and holy life, and handing his empire to Na'akueto La'ab. And our Lord has given him a covenant saying, “The person who honors your name, holds your feast, stays a night [in a vigil] at your church I will enable him/her to have an inheritance in the Heavenly Kingdom.”
✞May He (God) grant us from the Saint’s blessing and honor.

✞She was a compassionate mother,
*that lived in a blessed matrimony with Andronicus,
*that made alms giving her daily routine,
*that was preserved in the love for the saints,
*and who humiliated Satan by keeping her purity [after her husband passed away].
✞And on this day, she departed holding the icon of St. Michael and after making the sign of the Cross. Her soul was taken up by the holy angel to paradise.

✞And on this day, he passed away and St. Michael, his beloved patron, placed his soul in paradise.

🌿ብፁዕ አባ አቡነ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ዘኤለ ገዳማተ እምኀበ እግዚኡ ይነሣእ እሴተ ቦአ ሀገረ ደብረ ሊባኖስ በፍሥሐ ወበሰላም።
⚜ሰአል ለነ ጊዮርጊስ ኀበ እግዚአብሔር ወጸሊ በእንቲአነ ሐረድዎ ወገመድዎ ወዘረዉ ሥጋሁ ከመ ሐመድ ወወሰድዎ ኀበ ሰብዓ ነገሥት ረገጸ ምድረ አንሥአ ሙታነ አባ ጊዮርጊስ በሰላም ዐደወ መንግሥተ ክብር ወረሰ።

††† እንኳን ለሊቀ መላእክት ቅዱስ ገብርኤል እና ለጻድቁ አባ ዮሐንስ ዓመታዊ በዓል በሰላም አደረሳችሁ፣ አደረሰን። †††
††† በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ አሜን! †††
††† ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ሊቀ መላእክት †††
††† ቅዱስ ገብርኤል :-
¤በራማ ከሚኖሩ ሊቃናት አንዱ::
¤አርባብ በሚባሉ አሥር ነገዶች ላይ አለቅነትን የተሾመ::
¤የስሙ ትርጓሜ "እግዚእ ወገብር" (ጌታና አገልጋይ) አንድም "አምላክ ወሰብእ" (የአምላክ ሰው መሆን) ማለት የሆነ::
¤በመጀመሪያዋ የፍጥረት ቀን ዘጠና ዘጠኙን ነገደ መላእክት ያረጋጋ::
¤ብርሃናውያን መላእክትን የሚመራ::
¤በብሉይም ሆነ በሐዲስ ኪዳን መጻሕፍት አብሣሪነቱ በስፋት የተነገረለት::
¤በተለይ ደግሞ የወልደ እግዚአብሔርን ሰው የመሆን ዜና ይሸከም ዘንድ ያደለው::
¤ከድንግል ማርያም ጎን በፍጹም የማይርቅ::
¤በፈጣን ተራዳኢነቱ ብዙ ቅዱሳንን ያገለገለ ታላቅ ቀናዒ መልአክ ነው::
በዚሕች ዕለት እግዚአብሔር ቅዱስ ገብርኤልን ወደ ባቢሎን ልኮታል:: ሊቀ መላእክት ነቢዩ ዳንኤልን ከአናብስቱ ጥርስ እንዳዳነው መጽሐፍ ነግሮናል::
ይልቁኑ ታላቁ ነቢይ ዳንኤል የተማረኩ ወገኖቹን መመለስ እያሰበ በሃዘን ሲጸልይ በዚሕ ቀን ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ወርዶ ዳስሶታል:: ባርኮታል:: አጽናንቶታል:: ለዳንኤል በዋነኛነትም ሦስት ምሥጢራትን ገልጾለታል:-
1.የቤተ እሥራኤልን ከሰባ ዘመን በኋላ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም መመለስ::
2.የክርስቶስን ሰው መሆንና መሞት::
3.የሐሳዌ መሲሕን በመጨረሻ ዘመን መምጣት ነግሮታል:: ስለዚህም እኛ ቅዱስ ገብርኤልን እንድናከብረው : በጸሎትም እንድንጠራው አባቶቻችን አዝዘውናል::
††† አባ ዮሐንስ ዘኢየሩሳሌም †††
††† ጻድቁ ሃገራቸው መካከለኛው ምሥራቅ አካባቢ ሲሆን የታላቁ ሊቅ ቅዱስ ኤጲፋንዮስ ባልንጀራ ናቸው:: ከሕፃንነታቸው ጀምሮ በክርስትና አድገው : ቅዱሳት መጻሕፍትን ተምረው ወደ ገዳም መንነዋል::
ከታላቁ ኮከበ ገዳም አባ ኢላርዮን ሥርዓተ መነኮሳትን አጥንተው አባ ኤስድሮስን በረድዕነት አገልግለዋል::
ከብዙ ዓመታት ትሕርምትና ገዳማዊ ሕይወት በኋላ የቅድስት ሃገር ኢየሩሳሌም ጳጳስ ሆነው ተሹመዋል:: በጵጵስናቸው ዘመን አንድ ከባድ ስሕተት ሠርተው ነበር::
እርሱም ለቤተ ክርስቲያንና ለነዳያን ከምእመናን የተሠበሠበውን ገንዘብ ለግል ጉዳያቸው አውለው ልብሳቸውና ቤታቸው ወርቅ በወርቅ ሆኖ ነበር:: ፈጣሪ ግን ይሕንን ብክነት ከእርሳቸው ያርቅ ዘንድ ቅዱስ ኤጲፋንዮስን ላከው::
እርሱም በምክንያት ከቆጵሮስ ኢየሩሳሌም ገባ:: ጓደኛ ናቸውና አሳምኖ የወርቅ ንብረቶቹን ሁሉ ወሰደ:: ለነዳያንም ሰጣቸው:: አባ ዮሐንስ ሊቁን "እቃየን ካልመለስክ" ብለው ቢይዙት ቅዱስ ኤጲፋንዮስ ጸልዮ ዐይናቸው እንዲታወር አደረገ:: አንዳንዴ የታወረ ልብ የሚገለጠው እንዲሕ ነውና::
በደቂቃዎች ልዩነት ዐይነ ስውር የሆኑት አባ ዮሐንስ አለቀሱ:: ሊቁንም "ራራልኝ : አማልደኝ?" አሉት:: እርሱም ጸልዮ አንድ ዐይናቸውን ብቻ አበራላቸው:: "ለምን?" አሉት:: "ተግሳጽ ነው" አላቸው::
ከዚያች ቀን በኋላ አባ ዮሐንስ ወደ ልቡናቸው ተመለሱ:: ቤታቸውን ገዳም አደረጉት:: በሚደነቅ ቅድስና : ፍቅርና ሐዋርያዊ አገልግሎት ምዕመናንን አገልግለው በዚሕች ቀን በመልካም ሽምግልና ዐርፈዋል::
††† የሊቀ መላእክት ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ረድኤት : የአባ ዮሐንስ በረከት አይለየን::
††† ሰኔ 13 ቀን የሚከበሩ ዓመታዊ የቅዱሳን በዓላት
1.ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ሊቀ መላእክት (ወደ ዳንኤል የወረደበት)
2.አባ ዮሐንስ ዘኢየሩሳሌም
3.አባታችን ቃይናን (ከአዳም አራተኛ ትውልድ)
4.አባ ማትያን ጻድቅ

††† " . . . በአምላኬም በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ስለ ተቀደሰው ስለ አምላኬ ተራራ ስለምን: ገናም በጸሎት ስናገር አስቀድሜ በራእይ አይቼው የነበረው ሰው ገብርኤል እነሆ እየበረረ መጣ:: በማታም መሥዋዕት ጊዜ ዳሰሰኝ:: አስተማረኝም: ተናገረኝም:: እንዲህም አለ:- "ዳንኤል ሆይ! ጥበብንና ማስተዋልን እሰጥህ ዘንድ አሁን መጥቻለሁ::" †††

††† በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ አሜን! †††

††† ቅዱስ ገብርኤል :-
¤በራማ ከሚኖሩ ሊቃናት አንዱ::
¤አርባብ በሚባሉ አሥር ነገዶች ላይ አለቅነትን የተሾመ::
¤የስሙ ትርጓሜ "እግዚእ ወገብር" (ጌታና አገልጋይ) አንድም "አምላክ ወሰብእ" (የአምላክ ሰው መሆን) ማለት የሆነ::

¤በተለይ ደግሞ የወልደ እግዚአብሔርን ሰው የመሆን ዜና ይሸከም ዘንድ ያደለው::
¤ከድንግል ማርያም ጎን በፍጹም የማይርቅ::
¤በፈጣን ተራዳኢነቱ ብዙ ቅዱሳንን ያገለገለ ታላቅ ቀናዒ መልአክ ነው::
በዚሕች ዕለት እግዚአብሔር ቅዱስ ገብርኤልን ወደ ባቢሎን ልኮታል:: ሊቀ መላእክት ነቢዩ ዳንኤልን ከአናብስቱ ጥርስ እንዳዳነው መጽሐፍ ነግሮናል::
ይልቁኑ ታላቁ ነቢይ ዳንኤል የተማረኩ ወገኖቹን መመለስ እያሰበ በሃዘን ሲጸልይ በዚሕ ቀን ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ወርዶ ዳስሶታል:: ባርኮታል:: አጽናንቶታል:: ለዳንኤል በዋነኛነትም ሦስት ምሥጢራትን ገልጾለታል:-
1.የቤተ እሥራኤልን ከሰባ ዘመን በኋላ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም መመለስ::
2.የክርስቶስን ሰው መሆንና መሞት::
3.የሐሳዌ መሲሕን በመጨረሻ ዘመን መምጣት ነግሮታል:: ስለዚህም እኛ ቅዱስ ገብርኤልን እንድናከብረው : በጸሎትም እንድንጠራው አባቶቻችን አዝዘውናል::
††† አባ ዮሐንስ ዘኢየሩሳሌም †††
††† ጻድቁ ሃገራቸው መካከለኛው ምሥራቅ አካባቢ ሲሆን የታላቁ ሊቅ ቅዱስ ኤጲፋንዮስ ባልንጀራ ናቸው:: ከሕፃንነታቸው ጀምሮ በክርስትና አድገው : ቅዱሳት መጻሕፍትን ተምረው ወደ ገዳም መንነዋል::
ከታላቁ ኮከበ ገዳም አባ ኢላርዮን ሥርዓተ መነኮሳትን አጥንተው አባ ኤስድሮስን በረድዕነት አገልግለዋል::
ከብዙ ዓመታት ትሕርምትና ገዳማዊ ሕይወት በኋላ የቅድስት ሃገር ኢየሩሳሌም ጳጳስ ሆነው ተሹመዋል:: በጵጵስናቸው ዘመን አንድ ከባድ ስሕተት ሠርተው ነበር::
እርሱም ለቤተ ክርስቲያንና ለነዳያን ከምእመናን የተሠበሠበውን ገንዘብ ለግል ጉዳያቸው አውለው ልብሳቸውና ቤታቸው ወርቅ በወርቅ ሆኖ ነበር:: ፈጣሪ ግን ይሕንን ብክነት ከእርሳቸው ያርቅ ዘንድ ቅዱስ ኤጲፋንዮስን ላከው::
እርሱም በምክንያት ከቆጵሮስ ኢየሩሳሌም ገባ:: ጓደኛ ናቸውና አሳምኖ የወርቅ ንብረቶቹን ሁሉ ወሰደ:: ለነዳያንም ሰጣቸው:: አባ ዮሐንስ ሊቁን "እቃየን ካልመለስክ" ብለው ቢይዙት ቅዱስ ኤጲፋንዮስ ጸልዮ ዐይናቸው እንዲታወር አደረገ:: አንዳንዴ የታወረ ልብ የሚገለጠው እንዲሕ ነውና::
በደቂቃዎች ልዩነት ዐይነ ስውር የሆኑት አባ ዮሐንስ አለቀሱ:: ሊቁንም "ራራልኝ : አማልደኝ?" አሉት:: እርሱም ጸልዮ አንድ ዐይናቸውን ብቻ አበራላቸው:: "ለምን?" አሉት:: "ተግሳጽ ነው" አላቸው::
ከዚያች ቀን በኋላ አባ ዮሐንስ ወደ ልቡናቸው ተመለሱ:: ቤታቸውን ገዳም አደረጉት:: በሚደነቅ ቅድስና : ፍቅርና ሐዋርያዊ አገልግሎት ምዕመናንን አገልግለው በዚሕች ቀን በመልካም ሽምግልና ዐርፈዋል::
††† የሊቀ መላእክት ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ረድኤት : የአባ ዮሐንስ በረከት አይለየን::
††† ሰኔ 13 ቀን የሚከበሩ ዓመታዊ የቅዱሳን በዓላት
1.ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ሊቀ መላእክት (ወደ ዳንኤል የወረደበት)
2.አባ ዮሐንስ ዘኢየሩሳሌም
3.አባታችን ቃይናን (ከአዳም አራተኛ ትውልድ)
4.አባ ማትያን ጻድቅ
