=>አቡነ ገሪማ የተወለዱት በ5ኛው መቶ ክ/ዘመን ሮም
ውስጥ ነው:: ወላጆቻቸው መስፍንያኖስና ሰፍንግያ
እግዚአብሔርን የሚወዱ የሮም ከተማ ንጉሥና ንግሥት
ነበሩ:: ልጅ በማጣታቸው እመቤታችንን ለመኑ፡፡

+እመ ብርሃንም ደግ ፍሬ ሰጠቻቸው:: ስሙን ይስሐቅ
ብለው አሳደጉት:: ገና በልጅነቱ አባቱ ድንገት በመሞቱ
ይስሐቅ በዙፋኑ ተተክቶ ነገሠ:: ለ7 ዓመታት ሕዝቡን
በፍትሕ
እያስተዳደረ: መጻሕፍትንም እያጠና ኑሯል::

+አንድ ቀን ግን ከግብፅ በርሃ የተላከ ደብዳቤ ደረሰው::
ላኪው አባ_ዸንጠሌዎን ሲሆኑ መልዕክቱ "ምድራዊ
ንግሥና ምን ያደርግልሃል?
ይልቁኑስ በሰማይ ለዘለዓለም እንድትነግሥ ወደ በርሃ ና"
የሚል ነበር::

+ንጉሥ ይስሐቅ አላመነታም ሌሊት ተነስቶ ወደ ፈጣሪው
ጸልዮ በለበሳት ልብስ ብቻ ዙፋኑን ጥሎ መነነ:: ድንገት
ግን ቅዱስ_ገብርኤል ደርሶ በቀኝ ክንፉ ነጥቆ ግብፅ አባ
ዸንጠሌዎን በዓት ላይ አኖረው::

+እርሳቸውም ተቀብለው ፍኖተ አበውን አስተምረው
አመነኮሱትና ዘጠኝ ሁነው ወደ ኢትዮዽያ
መጡ:: ተስዓቱ ቅዱሳን በሃገራችን ብዙ ሲሰሩ አንዱና
ታላቁ አባ ይስሐቅ (ገሪማ) ናቸው:: ሰውነታቸውን በገድል
ቀጥቅጠውት ቆዳና አጥንታቸው ተጣብቆ ነበር::

+አንድ ቀን አባ ይስሐቅ በልቶ ቀደሰ ብለው ነግረዋቸው
አባ ዸንጠሌዎን አዘኑ:: ልምከር ብለው "ልጄ ይስሐቅ
የሰማውብህ ነገር አለና ሰዎችን አርቅልኝ" አሉ:: አባ ይስሐቅ ግን
"ሰዎች ብቻ አይደሉም: ዛፉም እንጨቱም ገለል ይበል"
ቢሉ የቤተ ክርስቲያኑ አጸድ አንድ ምዕራፍ (800 ሜትር)
ተጠራርጎ ሸሸ::

+ይሕንን የተመለከቱት አባ ዸንጠሌዎን
"ወልድየ_ይስሐቅ_ገረምከኒ (ልጄ ይስሐቅ ገረምከኝ)
አሏቸው:: ከዚያ ጊዜ ጀምሮም
"አቡነ_ገሪማ" ተብለው ቀሩ፡፡

+አቡነ ገሪማ ወደ መደራ ሲሔዱ እነዚያ የሸሹ ዛፍና
ድንጋዮች "ገሪማ ለእኛም
ግሩም ነህ" እያሉ በዝማሬ ተከትለዋቸዋል::

+ጻድቁ ወንጌልን: ገዳማትን ከማስፋፋት ባለፈ ብዙ
ተአምራትን ሰርተዋል:-

1.ስንዴ ጠዋት ዘርተውት በ9 ሰዓት ያፈራ ነበር "በጽባሕ
ይዘርዕ: ወበሠርክ የአርር" እንዲል::
2.ጧት የተከሉት ወይን በ9 ሰዓት ያፈራ ነበር::
3.አንድ ቀን ምራቃቸው ቢወድቅ ጸበል ሆኖ ዛሬም አለ::
4.ብዕራቸው ወድቃ አብባ አፍርታለች::
5.አንድ ቀን ድርሳን እየደረሱ ሊመሽ በመሆኑ ፀሐይን
አቁመዋታል::

+ከእነዚህ ሁሉ ዘመናት በኋላ ጌታችን
ተገልጦ በማይዋሽ ንጹሕ አንደበቱ ቃል ኪዳን ሰጣቸው::
"ስምሕን የጠራ: መታሰቢያህን ያደረገ: እስከ 12 ትውልድ
እምርልሃለሁ:: አንተ ግን ሞትን አትቀምስም" ብሏቸው
ተሰወረ:: ያን ጊዜ መላእክቱ በሠረገላ ጭነው እየዘመሩ
ብሔረ_ሕያዋን አድርሰዋቸዋል፡፡

✞ አባ ለትጹን የዋህ ✞

=>ስመ ጥሩ ጻድቅ አባ ለትጹን በ4ኛው መቶ ክ/ዘመን
በግብጽ የተወለዱ:
¤በፍጹም ተግሣጽ ያደጉ:
¤ከልጅነታቸው ጀምሮ ራሳቸውን በሕገ ወንጌል የመሩ:
¤አንድ ቀን በሰሟት የወንጌል ቃል የመነኑ:
¤ገዳም ገብተው በትሕትና ለዘመናት ያገለገሉ:
¤በመጨረሻም ወደ ትልቅ ተራራ ወጥተው ተጋድሏቸውን
የፈጸሙ ታላቅ አባት ናቸው::

+ከየዋሕነታቸው የተነሳ ኃጢአተኛ ሰው ሲያገኙ ራሳቸው
ንስሃ ይገቡ ነበር:: አንዴ ግን እናቱን 10 ጊዜ በዝሙት
ያረከሰ: ስትጸንስም መርዝ አጠጥቶ ጽንሱን በማሕጸኗ
የገደለና በሥጋ ወደሙ ላይ የተዘባበተ ሰው ሊሞት ሲል
ደረሱ::

+አጋንንት ሲዖል ታች ሲጥሉትም ተመለከቱ:: ኃጢአቱ
ጭንቅ ቢሆንም የእርሱን ንስሃ ሊቀበሉ ጀመሩ: ከንስሃቸው
ጽናት
የተነሳ ሞቱ:: ጌታችን ከሞት አስነስቶ "አትለምነኝ:
አልምረውም" አላቸው::

+ጻድቁ ተስፋ አልቆረጡምና ቀጠሉ:: ለ2ኛ ጊዜ ሞቱ::
አሁንም ቀጠሉ: 3ኛ: 4ኛ: 5ኛ ጊዜም ሞቱ:: በ6ኛው ግን
መፍትሔ መጣ:: ጌታችን አእላፍ መላእክትን አስከትሎ:
ያችንም ኃጥእ ነፍስ ይዞ መጣ:: "ፍርዴ አይታጠፍምና
ወደ ገነት
አላስገባትም:: ስለ አንተ ጽድቅና የዋሕነት ደግሞ ሲዖል
አልጥላትም:: ስለዚሕም እንዳልተፈጠረች ትሁን" ብሎ
እፍ
አለባት:: ፈጥና ወደ ትቢያነት ተቀየረች::

+ጻድቁም የፈጣሪያቸውን ቸርነት አድንቀው ሰገዱ:: ከብዙ
ዘመናት ተጋድሎ በኋላም በዚህች ቀን ዐረፉ::

✞ አባ_ዸላሞን_ፈላሲ ✞

=>ቤተ ክርስቲያን ካፈራቻቸው ታላላቅ ገዳማውያን አንዱ
አባ ዸላሞን የአባ ለትጹን ወዳጅ ነበር:: ይሕ ቅዱስ
ከአጋንንት
ጋር በገጠመው ጦርነት ምክንያት ለየት ይላል:: ከ60
ዓመታት በላይ እንኳን ሳቅና ደስታ ቀና ብሎም ሰው
አላየም::

+በነዚሁ ዘመናት ሁሉ ቅንድቡ እስኪላጥ አልቅሷል::
በዓለም ያሉ አጋንንት ሁሉ ተሰብስበው አሰቃይተውታል::
እርሱ ግን
በእግዚአብሔር ቸርነት: በወዳጁ በአባ ለትጹን ጸሎትና
በትጋት አሸንፏቸው ዛሬ ዐርፏል::

=>ቸሩ አምላካችን ከታላላቁ ቅዱሳን ጸጋ በረከት
ይክፈለን:: በምልጃቸውም ይቅር ይበለን::

✞✞✞On this day we commemorate Abune Gerima (Isaac) of Medera, Abba Latsoun/Latsun the Meek, and Abba Balamon (Palaemon) the Wanderer✞✞✞

✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞

✞✞✞Abune Gerima (Isaac) of Medera✞✞✞
=>Abune Gerima was born in 5th century Rome. His parents were Masfeyanos - a ruler and Sefengeya - a sovereign of Rome that loved God. And because they were barren, they beseeched our Lady.

✞Thus, the Mother of Light gave them a kind child. Then they named him Isaac, and raised the Saint. And because Isaac’s father had passed away suddenly, the child took the throne. And for seven years, he administered the people and lived studying books. 

✞However, one day, he received a letter that was sent from the desert of Egypt. And the sender was Abba Pantalewon and it said, “What would the earthly throne do for you? Instead, to be crowned in the Heavenly Kingdom for eternity, come to the desert.”

✞Hence, the monarch, Isaac, did not hesitate, rather he rose during the night, prayed to his Creator, and left the throne wearing only the cloth that he had on. And swiftly, St. Gabriel took him up with his right-wing and transported him to Egypt to the cell of Abba Pantalewon.
 
✞ There, the father received him, taught him the ways of the ascetics, tonsured him a monk, and then [they] came to Ethiopia being nine in number. When the Nine Saints did ample in our country, the great Abba Isaac (Gerima) was one of them. And because he labored much, his skin and bones were attached.

✞ One day, Abba Pantalewon became distraught when he heard that Abba Isaac had celebrated the liturgy after he had a meal. And wanting to give him advice, the elder said, “My son Isaac, I heard some things about you. Hence, hold back the people from me [as I want to speak with you].” However, Abba Isaac replied, “Why only the people? Let the trees and plants also move!” And when he said this, the trees of the monastery moved a furlong (about 800 meters) [attesting to his righteousness].

✞And Abba Pantalewon who saw this said to him, “Wälədəyä Yisih‌āk (Yǝsḥaq) gärämkänī”/ “My son Isaac you amazed me.” And starting from that day, his name became “Abune Gerima” [Gerima derived from ‘Gärämkänī’ meaning “You amazed, astounded me”].

✞Thereafter, when Abune Gerima went to Medera, those trees and rocks, which had went back earlier, followed him chanting, “Gerima you are startling to us too”.

✞The Saint, in addition to preaching the Gospel and establishing monasteries, has also performed many miracles. Some are listed below.

1. He sowed wheat in the morning and it bore fruit (seeds) at 3 PM.
As it is said [in the Deggwa of St. Yared/Jared],
“[Abba Gerima] sows in the morning
And harvests/reaps in the evening”
2. The wine he planted in the morning bore fruit at 3 PM.
3. A drop of his spittle became a healing pool which exists until today.
4. His stylus fell to the ground where it blossomed and bore fruit.
5. He stopped the sun on its path while writing (copying the Gospel of John) as it was getting dark.

✞And after many years passed, our Lord appeared to him and gave him a covenant (made him a vow). He said, “I will forgive the 12 descendants of the person who calls your name and holds your feast. And you will not taste death.” And then He left. At that moment, the angels placed Abba Gerima on a chariot and took him to the World/Realm of the Living as they chanted.

✞✞✞Abba Latsoun the Meek [of Bahnesa]✞✞✞
=>The renowned Saint Abba Latsoun was born in 4th century Egypt. And
*He grew up with proper instruction.
*He led himself from his childhood by the commands of the New Testament.
*He became an ascetic because of just a word he heard on one day.
*He served in humility after entering a monastery.
*And he was a great father who finally finished his strife atop a great mountain.

✞The Saint, when he would find a sinner, used to take the penance himself because he was so meek. However, one day, he found a man who was dying that had defiled his mother 10 times, killed her fetus by making her drink poison when she was pregnant and who also scoffed at the Holy Body and Blood. 

✞Then the Saint saw demons throw that soul to the bottom of Sheol [when the person died]. Thus, he started the penance for that man though the sin was grave. And from the severity of the penance, the Saint died. Then, the Lord came, raised him and said, “Do not beseech me, I will not forgive him.”
  
✞But the Saint did not give up hope, he died a second time. And still continued for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th times. And on the 6th came an answer. Our Lord came with that soul followed by a multitude of angels and said, “As My judgment is irreversible, I will not let this soul enter paradise. Nonetheless, for your righteousness and meekness I will not throw it to Sheol as well. Hence, let it be as it had not been created.” And then, He breathed upon it and it immediately changed to dust.

✞The Saint prostrated amazed at the mercy of his Creator. And after many years of strife, he passed away on this day.

✞✞✞Abba Balamon (Palaemon) the Wanderer✞✞✞
=>Abba Balamon (Palaemon) was one of the great ascetics that the Church bore. He was a companion of Abba Latsoun. This Saint is exceptional for the battle he entered with the demons. For more than 60 years, he did not raise his head to look at anyone let alone laugh and seem joyful.

✞And in all those years, he wept until his eyelashes were peeled. And he was also tortured by all the demons in the world after they had gathered. The Saint departed on this day, after he was victorious over them through the mercy of God, the prayers of his friend Abba Latsoun and through his diligence.

✞✞✞May our Good God grant us from the grace and blessings of the great Saints. And may He forgive us by their prayers.

🌿ብፁዕ አባ አቡነ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ዘኤለ ገዳማተ እምኀበ እግዚኡ ይነሣእ እሴተ ቦአ ሀገረ ደብረ ሊባኖስ በፍሥሐ ወበሰላም።

⚜ሰአል ለነ ጊዮርጊስ ኀበ እግዚአብሔር ወጸሊ በእንቲአነ ሐረድዎ ወገመድዎ ወዘረዉ ሥጋሁ ከመ ሐመድ ወወሰድዎ ኀበ ሰብዓ ነገሥት ረገጸ ምድረ አንሥአ ሙታነ አባ ጊዮርጊስ በሰላም ዐደወ መንግሥተ ክብር ወረሰ።

⚜ሰላም ለክሙ ጻድቃን ወሰማዕት እለ አዕረፍክሙ በዛቲ ዕለት መዋዕያነ ዓለም አንትሙ በብዙኅ ትዕግሥት። ሰአሉ ቅድመ ፈጣሪ በኩሉ ሰዓት እንበለ ንስሐ ኪያነ ኢይንሣእ ሞት።

⚜ነቢያት ወሐዋርያት፥ ጻድቃን ወሰማዕት፤ ደናግል ወመነኮሳት፥ አዕሩግ ወሕጻናት፤ ገዳማውያን ወሊቃውንት፤ ሰአሉ ለነ ኲልክሙ፥ ቅድመ መንበሩ ለጸባኦት።

††† አባ ድምያኖስ ተወልደው ያደጉት ግብጽ ውስጥ ነው:: ቤተሰቦቻቸው ክርስቲያኖች በመሆናቸው ገና በልጅነት ዕድሜአቸው ቅዱሳት መጻሕፍትንና በጐ ምግባራትን ተምረዋል:: ዕድሜአቸው ወደ ወጣትነቱ ሲጠጋ ሥርዓተ መነኮሳትን ለማጥናት ወደ ገዳመ አባ ዮሐንስ ሔዱ:: በዘመኑ ማንኛውም ሰው ተገቢውን ፈተና ሳያልፍ እንዲመነኩስ አይፈቀድለትም ነበር::

አንድ ሰው ሊመነኩስ ካሰበ በትክክል መናኝ መሆኑ ቢያንስ ለሦስት ቢበዛ ደግሞ ለአሥራ ሁለት ዓመታት እንዲፈተን ቅድስት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ታዝዛለች:: ይኸውም "ሥርዓተ አመክሮ" ይባላል:: ከአሥራ ሁለት ዓመታት በላይ መቆየት ከፈለገ ግን ይፈቀድለታል::

በዚህም መሠረት አባ ድምያኖስ ለአሥራ ሰባት ዓመታት በአጭር ታጥቀው ገዳሙን አገልግለዋል:: ገዳሙም ይገባሃል በሚል ዲቁና እንዲሾሙ አድርጓል:: ከዚህ በኋላ ከአባቶች ተባርከው: ገዳሙንም ተሰናብተው ወጡ:: ነገር ግን የወጡት ወደ ዓለም ሳይሆን ራቅ ወዳለ ገዳም ነው::

የረድዕነት ዘመናቸውን ጨርሰዋልና አዲስ በሔዱበት ገዳም ወደ መደበኛው ገድል ተሸጋገሩ:: ያም ማለት በጾም: በጸሎት: በስግደት: በትሕርምት: በትሕትናና በፍቅር ሙሉ ጊዜአቸውን ማሳለፍ ጀመሩ:: በእንዲሕ ያለ ግብርም ዘመናት አለፉ::

የወቅቱ የግብጽ ፓትርያርክ አባ ጴጥሮስ በእረኝነት ሥራ የሚያግዛቸው ሰው እንዲፈለግላቸው በጠየቁት መሠረት ትምሕርትም: ጽሕፈትም: በጐ ምግባራትም የተሟላለት ሰው እንደ አባ ድምያኖስ አልተገኘምና ያለፈቃዳቸው ወደ እስክንድርያ ተወስደው የፓትርያርኩ ረዳት ሆነው ተሾሙ:: በረዳትነት በቆዩበት ጊዜ በወንጌል አገልግሎትና በመንኖ ጥሪት ሕዝቡንና ሊቀ ጳጳሳቱን አስደስተዋል::

ልክ አባ ጴጥሮስ ሲያርፉ ሕዝቡና ሊቃውንቱ በአንድ ድምጽ አባ ድምያኖስን ለፓትርያርክነት መርጧቸዋል::

ጻድቁ ሊቀ ጳጳሳት በዘመነ ፕትርክናቸው ከግል የቅድስና ሕይወታቸው ባለፈ እነዚህን ፈተናዎች በመወጣታቸው ይመሰገናሉ::
1.ሕዝቡ ከሃይማኖታቸው እንዳይወጡና በምግባር እንዳይዝሉ ተግተው አስተምረዋል::

2.በአካል ያልደረሱባቸውን በጦማር (በመልዕክት) አስተምረዋል::

3.በዘመናቸው የተነሱትን መናፍቃን ተከራክረው : የተመለሰውን ተቀብለው : እንቢ ያሉትን አውግዘዋል::

4.ከአንጾኪያ ፓትርያርክ የመጣውን የኑፋቄ ጦማር (መልዕክት) በይፋ ተቃውመው አውግዘዋል::

ለአርባ ሦስት ዓመታት የእስክንድርያ ሊቀ ጳጳሳት ሆነው ያገለገሉት አባ ድምያኖስ ከብዙ ትጋት በኋላ በመልካም ሽምግልና በዚህች ቀን ዐርፈዋል:: ከግብጽ አበው ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ዝርዝር ውስጥም አርባ አምስተኛ ሆነው ተመዝግበዋል::

††† ልመናቸው : ክብራቸው : ጸጋ ረድኤታቸው አይለየን::

††† ሰኔ 18 ቀን የሚከበሩ ዓመታዊ የቅዱሳን በዓላት
1.አባ ድምያኖስ ጻድቅ ሊቀ ጳጳሳት
2.ቅዱስ ኤስድሮስ ሰማዕት

††† ወርኀዊ በዓላት
1.ቅዱስ ፊልጶስ ሐዋርያ
2.አቡነ ኤዎስጣቴዎስ ሰባኬ ሃይማኖት (ረባን)
3.አቡነ አኖሬዎስ ዘደብረ ጽጋጋ
4.ማር ያዕቆብ ግብጻዊ

††† "ስለዚህ በገዛ ደሙ የዋጃትን የእግዚአብሔርን ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ትጠብቁአት ዘንድ መንፈስ ቅዱስ እናንተን ጳጳሳት አድርጎ ለሾመባት : ለመንጋው ሁሉና ለራሳችሁ ተጠንቀቁ:: ከሄድሁ በኋላ ለመንጋው የማይራሩ ጨካኞች ተኩላዎች እንዲገቡባችሁ እኔ አውቃለሁ:: ስለዚህ ሦስት ዓመት ሌሊትና ቀን በእንባ እያንዳንዳችሁን ከመገሰጽ እንዳላቋረጥሁ እያሰባችሁ ትጉ::" †††
