β€’ β€œAI and IT for Non-IT People” with Nuruddin Iminokhunov – An engaging overview of digital literacy and how AI tools and emerging technologies can improve productivity and innovation in non-technical fields.
β€’ β€œPersonal Financial Management” with Timur Makhkamov – Introduced key financial concepts such as budgeting, investment strategies, and stock market basics to promote smarter personal finance habits.

🌟 #RARinAction in Karakalpakstan!

On June 14, Regional Alumni Representative for Karakalpakstan Gulsanem Allambergenova brought together youth and U.S. exchange alumni for a powerful Youth Mentorship and Career Guidance Workshop in Nukus. Held at the Massaget Hotel, the event welcomed 15 motivated students from higher education institutions across the region.

πŸ’Ό In collaboration with USG program alumni Venera Arzimbetova (Fulbright TEA 2021, Fulbright Global Teacher Grant 2024) and Nargiza Nuratdinova (Access Microscholarship 2022, OPEN 2024), the workshop focused on essential career skillsβ€”CV writing and job interview preparation.

As a freelance developer, he builds software systems and machine learning models that support cutting-edge biomedical research. Ulugbek has collaborated with Stanford University, Columbia University, and biotech companies advancing cancer treatment, gene editing, and life extension. His work has been published in Nature and Nature Medicine, two of the world’s most prestigious scientific journals.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Ulugbek describes his FLEX exchange year as a turning point that shaped his belief that no goal is too ambitious when it’s rooted in service and guided by strong values like integrity, compassion, perseverance, and fairness. 🌟On July 7, the Uzbekistan Business Leaders (UBL) Pre-Departure Orientation brought together 13 fellows from the 2025 cohort, alumni, and key partners for a formal orientation marking the start of their upcoming program in the United States.

The event featured opening remarks from representatives of the U.S. Embassy and American Councils, followed by an overview of U.S. Government alumni opportunities and introductions from this year’s fellows.

Participants gained valuable insights from program alumni, explored program goals and upcoming activities in Washington, D.C., and had the chance to ask final questions before departure.

✨ Dilbar works as a data analyst at Uzum Market, where she helps turn complex data into clear insights that support smarter decisions across the company.

Her participation in the TechWomen program was a turning point that truly transformed her career direction.Through her mentorship at Marvell Technology in Silicon Valley and visits to companies like Google, Facebook, and Slack, she discovered a new passion that pushed her to learn new skills and fully shift into a new field.

🌱 Outside of work, Dilbar is dedicated to creating opportunities for others, especially women and youth in Uzbekistan. Alongside her teammates, she co-founded Bolajonim, an initiative for early autism detection supported by the first-ever TechWomen seed grant. She also mentors students through the TopUni 100 Camp and Young Professional Internships Program (YPIP).

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Sharafiddin Nuritdinov | UBL’22 Alumnus

We are excited to share the story of Sharafiddin Nuritdinov, an inspiring alum who turned his global exchange experience into a creative and meaningful career path focused on cultural connection.

Sharafiddin took part in the fall cohort of UBL 2022 program in Austin, Texas, which became a key moment in his professional journey. While in the U.S., he explored entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation, and returned home with a fresh perspective and a strong sense of purpose.

🀝 One of the most impactful parts of the program was connecting with a fellow participant who would later become his co-founder. Together, they launched Bukhari Creative Group, a company that blends art, heritage, and technology to promote cultural diplomacy. Since then, their immersive exhibitions have reached audiences in France, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia, offering unique cross-cultural experiences to thousands of visitors.

Sharafiddin says UBL played a key role in shaping his journey, from building partnerships to putting into practice the strategic lessons he learned in Austin.
